How do you bury your dead crewmen at sea?

Magic marker on the crew management screen.

dean_acheson 07-10-07 12:25 PM

Thanks, some guy over at UBI asked, and I knew that I had done it before, but my crew don't often die :arrgh!: so I couldn't remember how to bury at sea.

Thanks!

Black out his face . . . Presto! He's dead and buried.

dean_acheson 07-10-07 01:03 PM

no, seriously, you drag them off to the side of the screen, or right click them, or something like that.

anybody know?

How can you tell a blond has been using the word processor ?

By the white out on the screen.

We have had no deaths, since 1.01

>>> Haul them back to port,& trade them in . "leave no man behind" .Tip;cover them w/icecream, to keep down the smell.

Hey Donut,
That's what you have a freezer for besides food. Able to bring back a crew member. Used to think about that when I was mess cooking on the Boat.

FIREWALL 07-10-07 10:50 PM

You mean you can't toss'em overboard like in SH-3 ?

Well when their frozen stiff shoot'em at the enemy like torps.

I know it's weird to sail for thounds of miles with dead men aboard, but this feature hasn't been implemented (yet).
You can only bury them (in the campaign) when docked at base: you drag them over the list on the left representing the "shore".

dean_acheson 07-12-07 03:29 PM

that's odd, I would have sworn that you could do this....

Dead Crewmembers

Despite the amount of flaming that goes on when innocent questions are asked on this forum, :D I am going to ask anyway: how do you know when men are dead? Do their faces go black? (I have never seen this). What does it mean when the whole picture of the crewmember goes reddish/orange?:hmm:

b.t.w. I preferred SH3. (But the graphics of SH4 rock!)

Flaming?????????

On topic, the reddish/orange means they're wounded, when greyed/black, they're dead. When dead, you'll have to replace them in port.

That wasn't flaming, was it?

Rattail 07-22-07 05:40 AM

Thanks Bando! (no that wasn't flaming, but read around a bit and you'll see what i was referring to... ;))

I appreciate your reply. Any way of healing the wounded? In SH3 one could put them to quarters and they'd get a bit better. No quarters in SH4.

Bando 07-22-07 05:43 AM

Don't let 'm stay out behind the guns and get them out of the damage control party too. When you're not on battlestations, they'll heal by themselves. No particular influence from the player is needed.

I have been reading around a bit here since 1998 and I really don't know what you mean. If you could point me in the right direction I would really appreciate it. Use a PM if you don't want to do it publically.

Thanks

JCC

Oops, my Bad! Did not keep record (read many, many pages...) :damn:

Generally speaking, it's a nice, polite forum. Sorry if I made waves based on a few small flames I read early in the morning just after I got out of bed...

It won't happen again.

Rattail out.

I had one who was just red dose that mean he needs major treatment, wounded big time.
