Will U People Stop....

Will you people kindly stop useing DAS BOOT screenshots on various topics. It causes me alot of grief.

1. I have to pickout what version to watch. :hmm:
2. Fireup the bigscreen and surround sound.
3. Make some popcorn and ice down some beer.:yep:
4. Go to the Head and take care of business."run back & put dwn seat"
5. Get comfy in the ole recliner and shure enough within 15 mins some idiot is at the door trying to sell me some kinda junk I already have 3 of floating around the house. I finally run that guy off and just get comfy.
6. Gotta go to head again. "Jeez that beer went thru me fast."
7. Get comfy again and remember wife's NO.1 RULE. so I "run bk & put dwn seat."
8. Get comfy again and the movie going again and enjoying when
JESUS H. CHRIST the phone rings. I then have to waste 5 mins of my life telling this fool that no one by that name doesn't , hasn't and never will live here.
9. By this time I'm getting a bit smarter and leave phone off hook and put sign on front door "Nite worker Day sleeper DO NOT DISTURB" That should fix everything.:yep:
10.Finally I get comfy AGAIN got every anoiance taken care of and Zoink
the power goes out. Rolling Blackout All the morons had their A\C going
full speed while I use a fan and the power grid goes off for an hour.
10. Finally the power comes back on and and I can watch my MOVIE.:arrgh!:

11. About that time my wife comes home and says since the movie just started you can turn it off and go shopping with me. Good Grief:damn:

So now you all can see what I go thru when you post those beautiful DAS BOOT screenshots

Haven't even seen that one. No, Das Boot is a great movie, really like it. Just wanted to see the general reaction to my statement....I didn't expect that though....

Sailor Steve 06-27-07 07:11 PM

I've decided to agree with Biggles. Since I no longer consider Das Boot to be "that good", I promise that once I get my stuff set up again I won't watch it more than twice a month, instead of a little bit every day.

And for anyone here who hasn't seen it...WHAT'S WRONG WITH YOU?:hulk:

Great books but a pretty crummy movie. I'm assuming you got the name from the books.

Well ofcourse! I belive that I have one of Stockholms biggest collection of Biggles books, they're rare, and of the 95 books written there is only 86 in Swedish:nope:
I'm quite surprised actually, you are the first one that I can recall that has even reacted to my name....

I've got a few of them myself. Those books got me into reading when I was a kid, never read a book that I enjoyed before them. Also started my love of aircraft. Sopwith Camel and the Spitfire will always be my favorite prop planes.
