Edit - okies ,now the news is getting here it is only a mild concussion and a sprained ankle :o , Deffinately a lot safer cars than not so long ago  |
 Kudos to the safety of the Formula cars nowadays
in a civil car you would be dead for sure but indeed..lucky he was alright and suffered minor injuries get wel soon Kubica:up: |
Saw it as it happened last night.
The first thing that went through my mind was Senna and his accident. Thankfully things have improved in F1 since those days. Amazing footage - just glad he's ok. |
That is one lucky escape/outcome :yep:
|
Very lucky
Good race, glad to see Hamilton on top. Ferraris were nowhere and Raikonnen is proving to be vastly overrated. Alonso also doesn't seem to be handling Hamilton too well. |
It was a scary accident, I hope he gets back to shape quickly.

Here is a good pic of the forces in play. The concrete wall is moved! (Also note Scott Speed in the armchair :rotfl:) http://img233.imageshack.us/my.php?i...canada2vk5.jpg Edit: They say he was doing 280km\h when he hit the wall. |
that could have been so worse. no broken bones in the end his legs are fine.
lol at scott speed in the armchair just chillin' |
Talking about lol, my youtube account was permanently disabled just now, because I uploaded the crash. Yay.

Villeneuve circuit is almost all high-speed, a dodgy place to crash :?
Watching you link, elit, made me miss Murray Walker :( |
Ayrton Senna : R.I.P  1 of the greatest drivers to ever be in F1
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0eyUZrCIUls Roland Ratzenberger he was a rookie driver... 3 races into his F1 career and he died 2 days before Senna did... senna was stunned by the death and expressed concern over safety standards..R.Ip http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iYf1wDCIsIo&mode=related&search= and Gilles Villeneuve R.I.P http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cYVcjF5AOL4 world of racing is fubar...:nope::nope: but they have learned and thats why kubica is alive today... |

It turns out the late pope John Paul II signed Kubicas helmet, and it is now explained as a holy miracle by the Catholics. Whatever it was, it is pretty impressive to (almost) walk away from that. |
Don Cherry made the comment during the Stanley Cup that taking fighting out of hockey, would be like taking crashes out of racing.
At the time he had on a suit that makes Michael Irvin look conservative. |
