That patch cant come fast enough

Just crashed again, right in the middle of a patrol, I know dumb me I didnt save it, just used to the stableness of SH3.

Grothesj2 04-16-07 05:22 AM

I've found SHIV very stable, rarely crashing. SHIII on the other hand gave me tons of CDT till it got the 2nd patch iirc.

ParaB 04-16-07 06:11 AM

I do have quite a few problems but CTDs are none of them. In fact, I haven't had a single crash since I installed the game, in over 30 patrols so far. And no, I never used the "a" key... ;)

Egan 04-16-07 07:04 AM

Ive never had a ctd either...I don't use the A key and I've never had a problem with the stadimeter.

partyboy 04-16-07 07:09 AM

I've never had a ctd either, but I haven't played the game in a while due to some of the other problems. I can't wait for the patch, I hope it fixes some of the issues bothering me. I want to play again~!

leeclose 04-16-07 07:12 AM

Ive had some CTDs most associated with the "A" key and now when i do a save game in the middle of my patrol and the go to reload it at a later date kapow ctd here we come thats the only 2 reasons i get ctd's:up:

stabiz 04-16-07 08:23 AM

I have only had one CTD, and that was because of the A key.

Partsking 04-16-07 08:24 AM

I've only had CTD's when trying to load a save during an attack (e.g. burning/sinking/sunk ships around me). Impossible to load, had to revert to preattack position.

mookiemookie 04-16-07 08:26 AM

only CTDs I've ever had were related to the A key or the stadimeter. I've found SH4 to be very stable.

SteamWake 04-16-07 08:41 AM

I played a 4 hour session this weekend not a single crash.

Oh except that one time we lost power... Damn you Ubisoft.

As to the patch it will be here SOON ! "tm"

Baneslave 04-16-07 09:49 AM

I haven't had single crash. Am I lucky or something?

no crashes here either still want the patch though

flintlock 04-16-07 10:07 AM

I'm dealing with the many bugs, as are others, though in all the many hours I've played, I've yet to experience a single CTD.

OddjobXL 04-16-07 11:40 AM

I've had occasional random CTDs not associated with the "A" key or the stadimeter. They seemed to get better after 1.1 but I might have just had a lucky streak. This weekend I had a big crash in the middle of a really exciting action and I hadn't saved before it. The whole patrol was shot and Ubi nearly owed me for a new PC because I really wanted to toss it across the room.

I will say this for SH4; if I didn't like the parts that do work so much the other stuff wouldn't anger me nearly so much. ;)

Baneslave 04-16-07 11:59 AM

Oh, sorry. I remembered incorrectly. I had one crash because I accidentaly used WASD as arrow keys. I pressed A by accident.

Skweetis 04-16-07 12:30 PM

No CTD's here either. I find it to be very stable, and have logged at least 60 hours in the game. Ran from friday night to late sunday afternoon continuousl, and no crashes.

Check all your drivers, including the ones for your motherboard.

Antrodemus 04-16-07 12:39 PM

No crashes or freezes here...

No CTDs either, but I never use the "A" key...

...just lots of frustration from the "Damage from nowhere" bug, and the "Topside crew has Bubonic Plague" bug.

:ping:

i wont start a career, and i havent since i bought the game, its just too buggy for me,my deck watch keeps dying, and when i dive over 400ft the whole crew dies, ive just been doin multiplayer stuff.
