I'd love to see a DC game built on SH4.

Great, just what we need here - another thread cluttering up the forums about the want for a new DC game. Aren't one of the 41545754112 threads on this appropriate enough?

A whole lot of other folks would too, GD. Definitely would be nice, that's for sure.

I just did a search for Destroyer Command 2, and funny thing, I could not locate any of the 1545754112 threads you speak of.

My recommendation:

Play multiplayer SH4 or even Dangerous Waters if you're into that new-fangled stuff.

There needs to be an official, stickied thread consisting of a petetion/request for a Surface sim using the sh3/4 engine, which would allow for direct conflict between surface ships and subs. i'll see if neal might could set up something like this and make sure ubi somehow gets eyes on it.

I predict Silent Hunter 5 wont be Silent Hunter, it'll be Destroyer Command 2. Hell, they've already hinted at it with adversarial mode!

I'd be content if they just fix adversarial mode so that you have PROPER control over the escorts. Guess I'll have to wait till 1.4 for that (1.3 will take longer than 1.2 and fix 99% of the remaining bugs).

Ask the moderators to ban anyone that does not A) think just like you and... B) bow and worship SH4.

That would stop the clutter pretty quick.

Rather, this forum (and the one for SH3) does get pretty cluttered after just one day of posting. Yes, we have the good historical disucssion threads in here and the gameplay advice/question threads, but unfortunately those make up only about 10-15% of the daily content. Unfortunately the rest of it is a lot of noise, such as this thread here. :p :nope:

Subsim is popular for its debate and knowledgebase...not all this noise we see these days. Noise belongs in the Ubi forums :sunny:

Also I would be very happy to playing in DC 2 but for the moment as far as I know rather too much about anything but I do not know what some comfort
