So, what boat you got?
Started a career in PH'41, Tambor class and got USS Tautog . Somehow knew it would be the Tautog. First mission I'm still on is to patrol off Honshu and I've deckgunned two large composite freighters for a total of 14k tons. I need to get the hang of the TDC better and get back in the rythm of setting up attacks.

have the tambor class USS Triton....
it is january '42 and have started second patrol off Honshu. My first patrol was in the Marshalls, sunk a small Patrol Craft and damaged a smallish AK in a port. No other sightings except for US ships. Right now am saved about 700 miles off Japan, hope to play a bit tonight. Saved it, and started doing the subschools, espically the torpedo missions, because full manual needs a bit of practice... |

Well, the Tambor got bombed to hell on her second patrol. Now I'm back at Pearl, Dec 9 1941 in command of USS Triton.

New boat, for new career, the USS Greyback.
First patrol, to Honshu, 1.1 style. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/USS_Grayback_%28SS-208%29 http://www.oneternalpatrol.com/uss-grayback-208.htm I'm supposed to live up to a good career, untill '44, that is. Who said this would be easy? |
Proud skipper of the P-class USS Plunger, off to engage merchant shipping in the southeast Celebes Sea. Asiatic Fleet 12/41 :arrgh!:
|
Gato class= Flying Fish.
|
Pearl 41 Gar Class USS Grenader or something rather.
|
S-class, 12/41, patrolling (largely realtime) north of Luzon...

You, my friend, are officially a bada@#. |
USS Perch out of PH, Dec 1941

Stabiz is wobbling along in the USS Trout, Tambor Class. The crew hates me allready, since I keep putting the boat in reverse. Damn you, SH3!:rotfl:
But luckily I kept my Luger, so they have kept the mutineering at a level of glowing looks and un-flattering caricatures in the toilet. |
Got the lead boat in the Gar class in '41 out of Pearl.

I've got the gramophone loaded up with period-correct Artie Shaw music (he played for the troops in the PTO, like Glenn Miller did for the boys in the ETO), and I'm off on war patrol. Wish me luck! |
