If you're going to rant......
 

When the game is released, I think most people will really like it and have a lot of fun with it, and some folks will have a couple of issues with it here and there.

But I think if Forum members are going to rant on about something ( remember Starforce!!! Luckily that won't be an issue this time) then I think we should have the equivilent of a 'swear box', and ranters should make a small contribution to the Subsim fund in order to rant.

Objective criticism is fine...ranting should cost $5

I think it's inevitable that SHIV will have issues to iron out. We hope as few as possible, but it will. That said, if it delivers what it promised, I'll be very happy. (and last I checked, 'pefection' wasn't on the list)

You ask a question for example:"How many ships and what kind of submarines are available"?

Some knowlegable member see's the question, they cut and paste the question to the answer thread with
"Quote marks" (doesn't matter who ask the question) to the answer thread.

Instead of playing checkers with the questions and answers all mixed up together with
several different viewpoints ...

Wrong answers can be deleated ... A good or dumb question doesn't get asked twice this way,
but if there is more than one answer the forum can tear that question apart, right?

Yes i agree and also lets not make that fatal mistake by going into the SHIII threads praising SHIV. :D

If we're going to rant most likely we will all agree to the rants cause no doubt if one player finds a bug, more than likely we also will have it. :damn:

IM POOFED. my head hurts from thinking on how the hell does torplexed make such cool pictures in such short period of time, seriously please like tell use how u make these pics, are u a artist as a job? like grpahical artist??? seriously these pics ive seen recently look like a professionall who gets paid good does that.:up:

I just pick up a pencil and start drawing. It gets done eventually.:cool:

Ahh a true artist, i was going to say Torplexed must have a program where he copy and paste certain images out of a collection into the program then writes in his own words for the comic part.

But you pick up the pencil and start drawing! Fantastic! man you should start up your own Silent Hunter comic. :yep:

I did retire all my paints, markers and airbrushes long ago. Photoshop and Painter do all the coloring work now days. Makes you wonder if people in the future will be still able to draw without being plugged in somewhere. :hmm: Oh well...rant off. :cool:

The only thing i'll ever rant about, is if i cant figure out how to mod/tweak something that annoys me in some way, shape or form. :88)

IM waaayy too burned out on SH3. For me, its SH4, or bust. They're aint no going back, so there really isnt any use in me complaining. ;)

I'd probably rant if those endless storms cropped up like in Sh3. The name Pacific means 'peaceful'. I'm willing to except the odd typhoon and squall and miserable conditions in the Aleutians. But for the most part it seems it should be tropical sun-dappled sailing :cool:
