where do I get the wolf pack mod that is a part of GWX

Hey I am looking for the wolf pack mod that comes with GWX.

Sailor Steve 01-13-07 05:02 PM

It comes with GWX.:rotfl:

Sorry, couldn't resist. I don't know if it can be had separately or not, but why wouldn't you want GWX anyway?

I agree with gdogghenrikson. Can the wolf pack be spun-off into a seperate mod?

I tried D/ling the original GW mod three times and recieved errors each time. I attempted a D/L with GWX once and recieved an error which would not let me combine the parts ,useless and wasted all kinds of time, D/Ling the parts.

A break out of the pieces, like the wolf pack, would be great!!

You can D/L GWX as a single file from either Gameshadow
or at http://www.jeuxdeguerre.com/index.php?p=4&file_id=977&t=44

The AI subs were available in GW - probably UWAC too and NYGM
Its how you script them thats needed
You will have to manually add them to your campaign files for them to be anything other than eye candy in ports

yup all I want is the wolf pack mod, I am a dial up user

bigboywooly 01-13-07 07:56 PM

The wolfpack in GWX isnt a mod that can stand alone
Sure you can have the AI subs but you would still need to script them into the campaign

You can get the AI subs here anyway

I dont believe any of the internal workings will be broken up for D\L as a seperate mod
Most things interact with something else

See post above for link to AI subs

isn't that just editing the campaign.scr file

bigboywooly 01-13-07 08:20 PM

Yep
You will need to script them for them to show

so you (or someone else) couldn't bundle the wolfpack files with the campaign.scr ?

ref 01-15-07 06:35 AM

The campaign files works only with their respective mods, GWX scripted campaign works with GWX, NYGM campaign works with NYGM, it's not possible to upload the campaign files without the rest of the mod, if you use a campaign file without all the ships it will CTD, what BB is telling you is that you need to edit your campaign file for the wolfpacks to work with your install.

@ref:

Speaking of editing campaign files, every time I try to do that I am not allowed to save (I use the mission editor to edit) because when it validates the lnd, scr, or rnd layer before saving it finds a million errors that I can't correct, and then my changes are not saved. How have you guys managed to edit the campaign files and save it? :)

bigboywooly 01-15-07 05:49 PM

When you save any of the campaign files they need to be saved as follows

If you have the Campaign scr open you need to use the " Save campiagn scr as " option
Same with the other 2
Land for Land etc

Sounds like you are trying to save as normal mission in which case you will recieve errors as the single missions require waypoints to be further than 1km apart and the ships further than 300m apart

Hope that helps some
Always back up your campaign files before working on them
Trust me
And only make changes while in port

If possible make your new files JSGME compatable and add seperately so if any problem you can just disable and still play

What do they mean by bump. All these terms and abbreveations,
a person needs a special dictionary to understand whats going on.
:yep:

Yeah, it's Wikipedia, but pretty much correct.

bigboywooly 01-17-07 10:45 AM

By adding a reply to a thread it " bumps " it back to the top instead of disappearing into history
Fine if the matter unresolved etc but in this case no point

The location of the mod has been pointed out and what needs to be done with it

Boris 01-17-07 12:14 PM

It's not resolved. He can't do it because he doesn't have the GWX files. He can't get GWX because he's on dialup... which is the reason he wants onla a small bit out of it.

doesnt say "I want GWX but cant get it as I'm on dial up"
Just says I want the wolfpack mod

If he wants GWX but cant D\L then he should say and maybe someone will send him a copy
Not sure if Neal plans to make it available as he did for GW on a disc
