I love these little teasers!

And just seeing men on the deck ...

CCIP 01-04-07 07:59 PM

Special ops!

Actual diversity of crew models!

Very nice wake effects!

It's looking very excellent if I say so myself.

Phil 01-05-07 12:28 AM

why were there marines on the deck of the sub at the end?

Schatten 01-05-07 02:34 AM

Oh my, oh my, oh my!

That's looking pretty spiffy now. Definately like the idea of the crew being happy or scared...I just hope we can avoid them looking like they need nap time though.

The wakes do look incredible.

As for why there are Marines on the sub at the end, US boats were sometimes used to deploy Marine Raiders as well as Coastwatchers and other sneaky sorts of deals. The Raiders that attacked Makin Island were deployed by submarine.

i really hope they're puttin as much time into the AI as they are with graphics and crew animations otherwise we'l end up with an eye candy game like SH3 was outa the box!

Sweet:up:

Sailor Steve 01-05-07 11:36 AM

Schatten said it: it looks like they're on an insertion mission. If they really have special missions, complete with graphics to match, it's getting better and better.

Pants 01-05-07 12:06 PM

It's looking very nice, very nice indeed:rock:

That'd be the commando insertion special mission.

Really. Path-finding and friendly fire were both fairly pathetic in Silent Hunter III. Let's hope they'll get that fixed - which I'm sure they will:up:.

I love the graphics, especially the different facial expressions in the concept sketches. Very, very good! Those troops look awesome!

But yes, graphics are secondary and do not matter a bit if game-play isn't good. So let's hope it is!

What impresses me most is the work they put into the crew... I mean, actually it´s just an eye-candy immersion feature...

What I really love is the sub interior. In some shots they are almost photorealistic. Great!

Makes me want to go sink some japs ...
