Hello, mate!
My advice is to dump that expansion pack, and go with GWX. |
The simple answer is ''No''
the reason: Supermods are the same as spiderwebs, if you break it by changing files the game will not run properly or not even at all. the solution: Create Dual Installs with SH3, 1 for the BOTM and 1 for GWX How to create a Dual install: Uninstall SH3 tottally *reinstall SH3 *change the Folder name of SH3 to for example SH3BOTM *Run the setup of ur SH3 DVD/CD ROM again and click Repair. *by doing that the setup will completly creates a new SilenthunterIII folder next to the SH3BOTM one. *now patch them both to 1.4b and install the Expansionpack and Supermod GWX on them. Good luck HunterICX (guys keep it clean!) |

Joea is right..
Lets just say that you pretty much waste your money paying for something you could get for free and much better quality here with one of the supermods that are available.Ones like GWX and NYGM..Though GWX IMHO is the best of the best. Just so this one does not go down the same road as the others.Do a search for "X1" on the forum and you will see why you will come across some hostility to asking a question about their products. So far anytime anyone has asked a question about their products it turns into WW3 or in this case could be WW6 or 7,I dont know as I lost count....and the thread ends up locked. |
Don't waste your money on that pack. Simple as that really. :D

All X1 animosity aside, I think GWX makes that product obsolete as that "Battle of the Med" product came out quite a while ago and GWX was just released. GWX does everything that the X1 pack does, and a whole lot more. For free.

Applause to HunterICX for actually giving this member some help
And the rest of you, why don't you simply stay out of threads about this mod unless you can tell the history of it in a decent way. |
*EDIT: comment removed*
Nothing to see here, move along, move along :88) |

Let me just start out by saying that I use gwx. Now a friend of mine, maybe x friend bought a copy of this exp. and wanted me to see it, seeing I got him started on silent hunter 3. After an hour of watching this in play I almost barfed. It was the most boaring time I ever spent in my life. He only paid for it because he believes that if it get neg. vibes it has to be good, go figure. Do your self a favor and do not buy this pc. of crap you will only end up using it as a frisbee after a day or 2, use gwx, if it was not for this mod I would have stop playing, it has brought real life back to this simulation for me.
PS. Thanks dev teem on such a fine job and yes my friend has been converted and loving it. Regards Chuck |

HunterICX,
Nice to see a dignified answer for a rare change on this subject. Kumado. as one that advised and beta tested SW-Med, I can say GWX has made everything done to date obsolete. Nothing compares to GWX. However, when you install GWX ask here about how you can move many of the nice ships in SW-Med that do not appear in GWX. The extra sloops (frigates in SH3), the nice cruisers and others can be imported to GWX and show up without any further editing. Fortunately, GWX uses many generic entries to allow variation so when a type 2 is called for your Grimsby, Egret and Bittern will be joing the GWX fight. I put mine in first thing. I sank the nice Arethusa class, first cruiser sunk in GWX for me and it was the SW-Med one. This is , of course, in addition to the many beautiful ships GWX also added to SH3 GWX was released 9 moths after SW-med was released in France and incorporates the latest improvements by the finest modders. Wulfmann |
I`ve never seen any of the extra ships in SH3 Med, do you have any screenies?
