Subsim fundraiser in september?
Just made my yearly contribution to this, my 2nd home, but Neal wasn't last year's fundraiser in Xmas LOL? Each year you are advancing the bills :haha:

I just signed up for a monthly subscription, and while everyone is entitled to make their own decision, you really should consider supporting the places you call home.
I think it's safe to say we all want a healthy home. But in order for a community to be strong it needs to be based on give and take. If Subsim has helped enrich your gaming experience, (as it has mine), then giving a little something back isn't too much to ask. Healthy communities are best when people contribute for the benefit of others. If you think the friendship, knowledge and resources that have been built here are worth having, then please do your part to keep them safe and available for the benefit of all. :sunny: |
I don't mind the fundraising, but I thought this year that Frau had spent enough at Amazon.com to run this site for the next 14 years. ;)
I think the move from xmas is a good one, people have less spare money around then. |

^There's always one!
I think people will be lucky to get a bonus in the current climate! We usually get vouchers for some shopping and a slight cash prize if we don't go ill during the previous 12 months :o |
My only criticism of the current campaign is that there is no flexibility in the monthly payment option. Perhaps it could be looked into for whether Paypal will allow some sort of open field, to enter in an arbitrary amount for a monthly donation.

Which sums, it is expected that the members here, throwing in to the forum :hmmm:

I moved it forward because both times previously, several people lamented having it so close to Christmas.
|
Run it all the way through to Jan! :D Get the best of both worlds. :arrgh!:
|
I gave some money for these great forums a month or so ago, and I will promise this I will contributing a few pounds more before Christmas:yep:
|
Made my Pesos donation on 26th and got a reminder back to the days of the GWX Gold release that donations were a way not only to support this great community but also a way of getting an early release of the mod.
Great memories :sunny: Come on folks...whatever you can afford...every little helps. I've two enamel LS cap badges left as were worn by The Grey Wolves and Neal at the 2008 SS Meet so Neal if you want, pick out two names at random from those who donate at the conclusion of the fundraiser and I'll post them off. http://img856.imageshack.us/img856/404/ls2n.jpg http://img641.imageshack.us/img641/7...2152ssamdm.jpg SINK EM ALL!! Unfortunately I have to mark time until November due to some major (on a fixed income anyway) unexpected September expenses. Fortunately the donation page is a 24/7/365 operation so I get to play catch up.
I rather liked the Xmas timing from past year's since the credit card was already beat up so bad in December that the SubSim donation passed unnoticed. |
I think the important question for us "end of the year" regulars is, how early do we have to send in the usual $$ to get Fat Elvis Cameltoe off our computer screens? :o :O:
|
Well I just sent a few bucks to get rid of him!!
