Has anyone played my scenario "Gunboat Diplomacy"?
 

The subject mission is included in the BlackBean release. I'd like to hear feedback from anyone who has played it.

I actually did, but there's one "problem" that kept me from finishing it: Because the highest detail level in the ASTAC station is only 5nm I never managed to evecuate this local politician. I could never get the Helo to hover over the right building. I hope you understand what i'm talking about.

Shame on me!:oops: ;) I will give it another try and let you know how good it is (imho) as soon as I finished it.

Still haven't finished the mission (my laptop has crashed:damn: ) but I noticed that the AI is very poor (but that's probably not your fault): One time the Gearing class and the Nanuchka III ran aground and when I started the game again the Kilo class did the same thing. AAR will follow asap.

Any way to accquire the mission sounds interesting.

Sure, there is no problem whatsoever.
If you use the lwami mod then maybe some missions will be more difficult because they have been developped for the standard 1.03 dw version.
The only *problem* is getting those missions in the first place since black bean doesn't want to make them available just yet.
Maybe in the future who knows ? :shifty:

Does that mean that I can install the LWAMI mod although I've got the European version ( strictly speaking the German version)? I've heard that the LWAMI mod only functions with the American version.:o

The french community had the same problem with the lwami mod.
I think they resolved by changing some file names in the french dw so that they do not create conflit with the lwami mod. The same solution can be applied to the german version i suppose. :hmm:

I hope somebody will do that, because I don't have a clue how to do it!:damn: :rotfl:

AFAIR, the database files have filename extensions including a "e" for english, "f" for french, and "g" for german. Simply renaming them should do it. You may have to turn on displaying filename extensions, since windows nowadays tries to hide it for users who don't ask for it. I'm still undecided as to wether or not it is a good or a bad idea.

I followed the orders and waited until the CIA team calls for help on the other side of the island, went there, attacked the village for a distraction, then just got a message that said, " mission can not be completed" ? The gun stopped firing on its own when I was attacking the village but I don't know how to rescue the CIA team? Any thoughts?
