A meet here in the US would be nice.

I have always been, and i still remain a proponent of the "regional subsim groups" if such a thing could be organized and interest maintained, it could mean a lot for more localized meets for a lot of users.

What about the International Fleet Review in Sydney? That's on pretty soon, and as a group interested in naval warfare it would seem appropriate.

Nothing against Australia but do you have any idea how much a trip there costs?Unless you live in Asia or the Pacific Islands it is very expensive.

From Florida the cheapest for a round trip with two layovers is $1,870 and that seat is in the back by the coffee maker and I hate coffee.

I can fly to London for $969 the rest of Europe for around the same the costs for a European to fly to the US is about the same.

From Europe it would be maybe 400 or 500 less for the tickets and that is just the flight.

Look at the bright side as an Aussie you can go on trip to some very exotic places in SE Asia for a fairly low cost.

It is most fair if you are going to have one subsim meet every so often that it be in Europe. It is very hard to organize such meets though many busy schedules to deal with.

I think the super small handful of member meets are cool less schedules to deal with.

I have a half sister that is an Aussie (she born there in 1968 US Army dad Aussie mother) at some point when I get the time and money saved up I am going to go on a long trip to visit her I can stay some of the time at her house which makes the trip a little cheaper unless I wear out my welcome. When I do(go on this trip) I'll come by and visit you Cyber and the other Aussie subsimmers. This will be a good while yet though not until my daughter is out of high school and she is just 9 now.

Non stop the lowest price is 2,011 US dollars.

I see your point :/\\!!

I say let's rent some boats and sail down the Adriatic coast.
If we're dumb enough we might even reach Egypt.

That would be amazing. When is it? Annual thing? A international trip will be difficult for me until summer due to classes though, I graduate in the spring so next year around this time or in summer would be possible.

As it starts tomorrow I doubt many international subsimmers would get here in time unless they were leaving now.

You are obviously not aware that Neal has a VIP Guest planned for the meet.
Hint: He will, apart from the congratulatory speech to Neal, also give a speech about the PBHS and how war was averted in the Middle East by him :haha:

Would be great if that happened around July next year. Will be in the UK for my nieces wedding. Just up the road at Chelmsford.
