The monkey looks different because of advanced science.They made the capsule go so fast that it traveled into the past.The monkey landed in what is modern day Israel and and convinced the Jews not to exist.

Because of the overwhelming power that the Jews have they preempted the time travel plot and swapped out the monkey to make it look like Iran did not actually send a monkey into space.The Iranian government will not say that the time travel mission failed publicly.
