Its official
This is the Mush Martin SHIII Permanent Retirement Party
I have just finished taking my shIII mods down from file front. I want to say that the shIII community at large made my foray into modding a Good experience all around, However I have moved on to shiv long ago, so long ago that I am no longer playing it atm. I still check into general topics from day to day because there's no group of egghead's in the world like this group of egghead's. I would like to say thanks to everyone at large for supporting my mod's as player's. Altogether about 2500 downloads of all mods was my rough final count. Nice job for a constant newbie. I would also like to thank my SHIII teachers Mark and Jeff. as well as my original groupie Kevin along with a host of others to numerous to mention Yer a great bunch and thank's for the shIII times. Mush out.:|\\ |
And many of us will follow Mate!!
 It's been a Roller Coaster at times, Eh? You, My Friend, had a great impact on me. As we both came into this forum at close to the same time. (You just posted more often!!) :rotfl: We don't connect as often as we did in the past. At times? That makes me feel sad. :nope: But always remember this! You were one of the major driveing forces behind me!! So I Salute You Sir!! Now, Where's that River Class We're going to go visit!! |

Thats more like it son I take back the treaty of Ghent comment then:yep:
HMCS Haida is in Hamilton and open year round for tours I would suggest however that biking there is more fun in spring or summer. I am still up for it, I also have an opportunity to go to halifax this year too so I am actually hoping to tour both HMCS Haida and HMCS Sackville within a week or three of each other. I absolutely must get that new camera I guess. I would love to see you there Brudda and I'm not gone from SS altogether so its still on. M:up: |
Well...
This is the beggining of that sad period when people stop posting on SH3 threads and move on to SH4. Sure it will happen slowly, one at a time, and eventually, around launch of GWX 4.0, the majority of members will move on to Sh4. This thread made me think about the future... games becoming obsolete, people following other paths, contacts being lost... makes me sad... Salute, Mush Martin! |

Art reflects life I suppose, it reminds me of my high school circle of friends, and the realizations I came to at the end of my teens about time and friendships  |

When I stop to think about all the friends of my high school... The best part of my life, it was all about joy, never sad about nothing, never worried about nothing... All the great times, with friends surrounding, laughing, talking, sharing experiences and excitments... the talking about girls and the stupid shyness of going there talking to them. And now, each friend in one corner of the world... they don't have time for nothing, working all day, sometimes married, with children, with beer belly and beard on the face... and the feeling that those great days will never return... It's a stab on the heart...:dead: |
That is sort of why I thought saying goodbye to this chapter was
important. I made great friends here, we are of a kind all of us. mind junkies not jet jockey's. Stalker's of the hunt of week's like in day's of old. silent in the dark awaiting the game. these were my best sailing days in many ways. although I do prefer American boats and although I didn't learn subs here I really did Sail my best against the British horde's. To be sure the atlantic is a harsh mistress and the GWX Jedi RN are as worthy as an enemy can be made. What a good frackin time this all was.:arrgh!: M |
I suppose that's why it is said by some, "Youth is wasted on the young."
You never truly appreciate the relatively simple happiness of youth until the burdens of growing older weigh you down. I'm still a relative newcomer to SH3. I have yet to finish my first career and this "old" game has much more for me still to come. I'm always late to the party, it seems. I've never learned the skills to create any great mods and probably never will, since the SH3 party is winding down. I have no plans to move on to SH4. That has too much the feel of "been there done that" after playing SH3. It can be said that every end must come before a new beginning. Maybe, someday, I'll find that one special game upon which I can leave my mark. Thanks for all that you did for this community, Mush. Your talents and spirit will be missed. May stormy days always be followed by a glorious sunrise. |
Beautiful words...
|
Cheers Mush. Fair winds.
...and as for those Japs... SINK'EM ALL!!!   |
Danke Herr Kaleun Danke

For now i'll remain on sh3 mods; btw in the future...
SH4 is a younger, improved engine. Potentiality. BTW thanks for your work on sh3, Mush! Hours of fun for me with UberBoot ^_^ |
Mush Martin I hate to say it but your right. Soon its time to move on to better. SH3 will always be installed because their is so much but when GWX 4.0 comes out well SH4 will be complete.
Plus my new rig comming soon to take on the heat.... Anyhow my daughter wants to play SH3 it will be a good learning tool for the young new sailor.;) See ya soon dude.:arrgh!: |
