How to remove the triangle in auto-targeting ?

Hi ! I bought SH4 a few weeks ago and I really enjoy it ! But there is something in this game I absolutely don't enjoy: the triangle in auto-targeting. I would like to remove it and therefore I searched in this forum how it could be possible, but I didn't find any answer to my question. I also explored the files of the game in order to find the graphic files of the green/yellow/red triangle but I didn't find them.

Is it possible to remove it ??

This triangle is very ugly and not really necessary I think. I know when I must shot my torpedoes, I don't need this triangle. And don't tell me "switch to manual targeting" please, I don't like manual targeting (I'm too lazy for that probably:rotfl: )

Thanks.

Well, if you donīt like manual targeting "at all" in a game like this, perhaps you bought the wrong game.

Anyway, I remember seeing that icon in the data/menu folder. There is an "icon" folder somewhere.

granted any colour, its just that there seems to have been an "anti triangle"
campaign sometime in the past on sh3 threads (hence the smilie with the
detonator) as I recall they were prone to using the term red triangle.

what the colours are is a rating on the solution to test it out
click on an aft tube with a target dead ahead and the triangle
will be red warning that the shot is no good as set. then click
on a front tube and the triangle will turn green because your
now using a torp that can see and hit the target.
over about forty degrees and it will turn yellow warning of
a thin solution.

regards
MM

I had already explored the "gui" folder but I didn't find the triangle in. I'll try again to find it having a look in the other folders. Pleased to see that this topic entertains you a lot :-j

@emr27

Can I be bold and suggest you really do give manual targetting a go, it will really increase you're enjoyment playing the game. Okay so you'll have to learn a thing or two but its is dooable and not too hard either.

Check out Hitman's manual in the general SHIV forum, its quite comprehensive and I can gurantee you will thank us all for this encouragement once you sink your first manually targeted ship.

Go on sir!:yep:
