Way back when I was first married I taught my ex-wife to drive a stickshift. She never went back, at least until she decided she needed a minivan. I tried to teach my younger daughter the same, noting the difference between what I called "You driving the car and the car driving you." She said she'd rather have the car drive her. Oh, well...that was half her lifetime ago now.
I'll drive a stick until my legs are too old to hold the clutch in. Then I'll die. :sunny:
