Hull join the Mackems and Boro in the relegation from the Premiership.

Just need to see who wins the play-offs for promotion from the Championship now.

My home town football team South Shields (Mariners) played at Wembley today for the first time in the FA Vase Trophy and beat Cleethorpes 4-0 :sunny:

Huddersfield Town have been promoted to the Premier League for the first time by beating Reading 4-3 on penalties at Wembley today.

After a 0-0 draw in 120 minutes, it was a second successive shootout win for Town, who defeated Sheffield Wednesday on spot-kicks in the semi-finals.

I watched the Champions League final last night, Real Madrid beat Juventus 4-1 to retain the cup, what are the chances of any British club having a decent chance of beating that team.
Its looking pretty bleak if you ask me, so it looks as though its going to be a last 16 or if they get a lucky draw a quarter final place before they're sent packing from the competion once again.

my predictions before the 2 Manchester clubs go on the usual massive spending spree.
Tottenham, maybe a last 16 place.
Liverpool, maybe a last 16 place.
Man Utd, maybe a last 8 place.
Man City, maybe a last 8 place.
Chelsea, maybe a last 8 place.

Premier League championship predictions.
1- Man City.
2- Man Utd.
3- Chelsea.
4- Arsenal
5- Liverpool.
6- Tottenham.
I won't be changing this selection as the buying spree has already started, Liverpool and Tottenham are going to be the losers in the money game and if Arsenal don't keep Sanchez and Ozil they'll be swapping places with the 5th or 6th placed teams.

What league placing would you predict for the TOON?

Former Newcastle United midfielder Cheick Tiote has died aged 30 after collapsing during training in China.

In his seven years at United the Ivory Coast player made over 150 appearances, including three last season.

He joined Chinese second-tier side Beijing Enterprises from Newcastle in February.

So young and so sudden.

RIP Cheick

Rafa won't want a relegation scrap that's for certain, if Mike Ashley puts his hands in his pockets and digs deep Rafa will do the rest.
So on that basis I'll go for a mid table spot for the Toon, somewhere around the 12 to 14 placings, if Ashley thinks he can get away with doing things on the cheap though I can see the Toon being in a relegation scrap and I can also see Rafa waving goodbye.
