Newcastle United's St James' Park and West Ham's London Stadium have been raided by Her Majesty's Revenue and Customs following an investigation into the clubs' transfer activity.

Newcastle's managing director Lee Charnley is among those to have been arrested following the raids.

Early days but it is rumored that money can corrupt.

I hope that is not the case here.

Then I didn't hear that wrong.

Was in another room when I heard the host in the 13.00 news saying something about tax fraud and then the word manager and last Newcastle.

Made me a little nervous-If I have heard correct and Newcastle manager will be convicted will that mean that Newcastle are kicked down some step or what ?

Or will he be accused personally ?

The manager is not involved Markus, it is a matter involving the clubs and the agents:

Secret payments made to players and agents are the focus of a tax fraud investigation by HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC), say French authorities.

It is suspected that serious tax fraud was committed during the transfer of players between French and Premier League clubs.

TOON won 2-0 to go within one point of Brighton but the title is still theirs to lose.

Not the prettiest or most entertaining of games but a win is a win.

Brighton lose to Bristol City so the title will be decided next week on the last day of the season.

Final game of the season today started with Brighton holding a one point lead and currently half way through the first half, Brighton are drawing and TOON have a one goal lead.

So, if the scorelines remain the same at the end of each game TOON will be champions but there is still quite a way to go in both matches.

Rafa will need around £100 million to improve on 6-8 playing positions if they are to survive in the PM next season Markus.

Only time will tell.

£100 million for 6-8 players and the Toon should avoid a relegation scrap if its spent wisely, Ashley will have to dig even deeper if a UEFA cup place is next seasons requirement and I have my doubts if Ashley has got the balls to go for that one.
I can see another x bet and double forming for next season.:yep:
