Very good choice! The Stranglers are a much overlooked band. An interesting note: The Stranglers lost a chance to break big in the US due to a very unfortunate coincidence. They were scheduled to do a major showcase performance at the Whisky-A-Go-Go; all the major players in the music industry as well as the music press were to be in attendance. Just prior to the gig, the news was filled with stories of a series of grisly murders in the Los Angeles area; the press dubbed the serial killers "The Hillside Stranglers". There was then a big problem for the Whisky: could they actually put up on the marquee, in big letters "The Stranglers"? The question was debated; some thought it was in poor taste with the serial killers still at large; others tried to frame it in a sort of punk "anything goes" act of rebellion. The marquee went up, very reluctantly, but the damage in terms of PR had been done and the band never really recovered, in the US, from the fallout...
