I was watching the Chelsea v Hull game on tv yesterday and witnessed the accidental clash of heads between Ryan Mason and Gary Cahill.

Until recently, Ryan was fighting for his life but now appears to be stable after an emergency operation.

Quote:

Ryan Mason is in stable condition after he underwent an emergency operation following after a sickening clash of heads with Chelsea defender Gary Cahill.

In a statement on Sunday evening, Hull said: "The club can confirm that Ryan Mason sustained a skull fracture in our fixture at Chelsea this afternoon.

"He was taken to St Mary’s Hospital where he has undergone surgery.

"Ryan is in a stable condition and is expected to remain in hospital for the next few days.

"Everyone at the Club would like to express their sincere thanks for the excellent and swift care given to Ryan by both the Accident and Emergency department and Neurosurgery Unit at St Mary’s Hospital."

Rafa put out a reserve team for the FA Cup game at Oxford and TOON were despatched 3-0.

Much criticism has been levelled at him for the team he selected but with a forthcoming busy game league fixture programme, he is obviously looking to keep first team choices as injury-free as possible.

Sunderland managed a respectable draw at home to second placed Spurs but remain second from bottom.

TOON are at home to QPR tonight and would regain top spot if they win.

The top team Brighton are away to Huddersfield tonight, starting their game in-hand with a one point advantage.

TOON beat Derby 1-0 in a hard fought match to go top by two points and today sees Brighton away to Brentford, a win for them would take them to top again by one point.

Jimbuna 02-15-17 07:08 AM
