Other alternatives are PM or email (after reading the SH3Cmdr FAQ and Help files of course). Or, depending on the q, you could post in the main Mods Workshop forum as I'm sure others will will be able to help. |
What would i have to do to make all the ranks be in Russian?

If you weren't using SH3Cmdr, then you'd make the changes directly to SH3's **_menu.txt file. |
Jaesen
For some reason with Commander 2.6 my days in base always remains at 1 regardless of what I set it for. Just completed a mission ending Sept 1 and start of next mission is Sept 2 yet days in base says 31. I'm just starting Wolves At War and this sure would make life easier. I've tried this on a number of different campaign test missions - no change/mission starts next day. |
If your status is "In other base before..." then SH3Cmdr automatically sets the daysinbase value to 1 (although the actual value may increase if you have damage). This reflects the fact that the "other" base will either be a milk cow or friendly base (SH3 doesn't tell them apart).
SH3Cmdr should happily use your preferred setting if the status is "In home base before...", that is, if you are docked at your home base. However, whilst SH3Cmdr determines your location automatically, you can manually toggle the status by clicking on it. So: "In other base before..." = 1 day "In home base before..." = your preferred SH3Cmdr setting (or whatever is already in the game if neither "number of days spent in base" option has been selected in SH3Cmdr) Setting the status manually overrides SH3Cmdr's automatic determination. |
Ok thanks, i'll try it today.

Can't Drop and Drag Qualifications on Crew
Is there a special requirement in oreder to do so...i.e number of patrols completed?
I'm currently in base after the 1st patrol, have 1 promotion, and 17 badges (still unawarded, and the customary 1 qual also) Any insight would be appreciated...with my luck...its prob something simple...:o Thanks in advance. |

Also note that you can still award SH3 alloted medals and quals from within SH3. |
Does SH3Commander 2.6 still simulates "milk cows" and increases range of uboats?
Is it necessary to remove the files that govern it - the two NSS_Uboat7c.sim files in the 19420401 and 19431201 folders from SH3Commander folder? |

Thanks for reply.
Is it possible to include this option in "options" menu of SH3Commander? It would be simpler and faster to enable or disable this. |
can someone tell me how i can have 2 installs of SH commander R2.6 so i can have one for my greywolves mod and one for the NYGM_2.0 mod,i know theres a link somewhere in the forums explaining how to do these installs.

One is labeled SHIII-NYGM One is labelled SHIII-GW OK. What you need to do is create two *new* shortcuts to SH3Cmdr.exe, with the /l: switch added. For example, "C:\<Path>\SH3 Commander\SH3Cmdr.exe" /l:"C:\<InstallPath>\SilentHunterIII - NYGM" "C:\<Path>\SH3 Commander\SH3Cmdr.exe" /l:"C:\<InstallPath>\SilentHunterIII - GW" This forces SH3Cmdr to use these locations rather than use the one stored in the Registry (ie the original installation path). To create the shortcuts, just right click somewhere on your desktop, select New|Shortcut and enter the location as above, press Next then enter a suitable name, then press Finish. Done. Then, all you need do is click the icon for the version of SH3 that you want to play. SH3Cmdr does the rest. ONE warning though. If you run "SH3 - NYGM" then want to run "SH3 - GW" afterwards, you MUST first rollback SH3 - NYGM, otherwise, when you run SH3 - GW, you will cross pollenate it with NYGM files. For example: ALWAYS -Run SH3Cmdr NYGM shortcut -Play game -ROLLBACK SH3Cmdr NYGM -Run SH3Cmdr GW shortcut -Play game -ROLLBACK SH3Cmdr GW(Bizarre things happen if you do not rollback) NEVER -Run SH3Cmdr NYGM shortcut -Play game -Run SH3Cmdr GW shortcut -Play game Alternatively, you can install (or copy) SH3Cmdr again to a different location. Then, you can point one shortcut to SH3Cmdr installation #1, and the other to SH3Cmdr installation #2. Then you will not have this rollback problem. For example: "C:\<Path>\SH3 Commander Copy 1\SH3Cmdr.exe" /l:"C:\<InstallPath>\SilentHunterIII - NYGM" "C:\<Path>\SH3 Commander Copy 2\SH3Cmdr.exe" /l:"C:\<InstallPath>\SilentHunterIII - GW" C:\PROGRAM FILES\UBISOFT\SILENTHUNTERIII-GW The problem with this approach though is that your SH3Cmdr.ini files will get out of sync with each other. But that's prolly less of a problem than your whole game getting out of sync! But I'd only recommend this second approach if you think the first approach will cause problems for you. |
thanks alot m8 this helps:up:

I was lucky and saved the 4th career from a backup of SHIII, SHIII folder in My Documents, and the SHIII Commander folder. It's a smart thing to make a backup of them every once in awhile anyways. ;) |
Thanx Jaesen. Must've been quite some work!!
