Not quite as fancy as you all's work (especially yours, Rimmer, cripes that's fantastic)

Well cheers buddy, wow, its only the second thing I've ever made! :salute: Your's is pretty damn good too tho, I could never quite do custom mats and textures!

Hmm.. couldn't you have done those ropes with the cloth (or whatsmacallit) modifier? Doesn't it take the mesh and sort of wraps it around another mesh?

Or if 3ds max has constrains like Modo, which allows to do the same but by choosing the right constrain and moving the ropes down and they'll wrap around the balloon.

Good old Photoshop 7. I learned some tricks when I started doing skins for Il-2, but textures (Especially metals) are still my weak area. And lighting.

I'm sure there is lol, I'm still learning the basics so I just did the simplest, yet probably not easiest, things! I'll have to have a play around see what things do, or what happens when I press that button....

Ah, right. Same here, mate. :O:

Here's some new renders of an BMW R75 motorcycle.

Jessica gave me the idea to do it, and I didn't think I could :D

they're brilliant! I don't think I'd be very good at modelling real vehicles, which was one of the reasons I did HMS Dionysus lol. Incidentally I've just started making a steam plane :arrgh!:

Chad 05-08-10 12:12 PM

At least you have creativity to come up with your own stuff :yeah:

I unfortunately lack in that department of my brain :haha:

That's awesome! Humans and organics (living things) are something I'm no good at. No matter how hard I try, it still never looks "real".

The hair in this pic looks really good, good job
