Whew. Now I know the Saints are going to the Super Bowl. :D

:haha::haha: very funny ...

In fact I'm starting to think a replay of the LA Rams and the KC Chiefs for the Super Bowl what a rematch that would be, but I do love your Saints ... :yep:

I will just wait and see I've learned not to bet my money on anything, but that's another story :yep:

The Philadelphia Flyers and Phillies Hockey and baseball team and their fan base is every bit as bad. The Cincinnati Bengal fans are just as bad if not worse.

The Patriots overcame a rough start this season and a few hiccups but seem to be peaking at the right time. The Kansas City Chiefs have looked good all season. The Patriots and Chiefs game should be a great game. Regardless of who wins, The AFC should be well represented in the Superbowl with either of these teams. The Rams and Saints game should be great as well. I don't think I could pick a winner out of any four of these teams.

~Enjoy~

Sunday will be like two (2) Super Bowls with Rams vs Saints in a covered dome and then later (at night no less) in Kansas City with a big snow storm coming Saturday the KC Chiefs will play the New England Patriots, who are not use to losing in post season.

What is this one 8 out of 9 conference games now losing to Denver several years ago I do believe?

This will be their 8th straight conference championship appearance. They won 5 of them but only got two superbowl wins out of it.

This is a pretty comprehensive match up for the AFC game:

It's starting right now in New Orleans the NFC championship game

LA Rams vs New Orleans Saints

New England vs KC later in the day
Check your local listings

I pick the Rams over the Saints

KC over New England

Winners go to the Super Bowl in Atlanta Feb 3rd

Mr Quatro 01-20-19 04:37 PM

Good game so far

LA Rams 10 vs 13 New Orleans Saints @ half time

mapuc 01-20-19 06:12 PM

WOW what a game it is.

When it was about two minutes left of the last quarter I was sure it would be overtime...then Saints made a 3 points 20-23.

Only 20 second left….Rams score a field goal equal 23-23

So it's overtime after all.

May the best team win.

Ought oh! Rams interception in overtime

score 23 to 23

but because the Saints had the ball first even a field goal will win the game for the Rams

Mr Quatro 01-20-19 06:24 PM

Final overtime Rams win 26 to 23

57 yard field goal

Too bad the refs gave the game to the Rams by missing a blatant pass interference call.

CMON KC!

Go Patriots!

I was cheering for the Rams, but that missed interference call was really really bad :yep:

Commissioner has authority to take action over Rams-Saints outcome, in theory

Quote:

So what can the NFL do about the outcome of the Rams-Saints game? Probably nothing. Bad calls happen. Sometimes, bad calls have bigger consequences than others.

Still, there’s language in the rulebook that could, in the right circumstances, allow the Commissioner to take extreme action in the face of a grossly unfair result.

Consider Rule 17, Section 2, Article 1: “The Commissioner has the sole authority to investigate and take appropriate disciplinary and/or corrective measures if any club action, non-participant interference, or calamity occurs in an NFL game which the Commissioner deems so extraordinarily unfair or outside the accepted tactics encountered in professional football that such action has a major effect on the result of the game.”

Even though Rams defensive back Nickell Robey-Coleman admits that he opted to wipe out Saints receiver Tommylee Lewis because Robey-Coleman believed he’d been beaten for a touchdown, it’s hard to imagine this being the kind of “extraordinarily unfair” act that would have a major effect on the outcome of the game. Then again, the rule is there for a reason; if ever it would be invoked, wouldn’t now be the time to do it?

Patriots win another playoff OT coin toss, spark questions about fairness of NFL rules

Quote:

Patriots now 3-for-3 in playoff OT coin tosses
It was the first of three overtime playoff games for the Patriots in the Brady/Bill Belichick dynasty. Each time, the Patriots won the overtime coin toss. And each time, the Patriots offense took care of business on the field to secure the victory before the opposing offense had a chance to take the field in the extra session.
