Youtube has now gone widescreen, as well as high def. It seems to be quite good. Still not as good as some other websites about and not quite upto stage6's standard, but it's an improvement.

Dedicated to Our "Modders", who span the Oceans

Hope we will all appreciate the dedication our Modders have done to enhance this game.

I have dedicated my personal web site in their honor of Silent Hunter 4 and trust that from these video files , one can really appreciate the dynamic aspects, the talent, hours of graphic restructuring, some many have done to bring joy to so many of us around the globe.

I must confess that I am in the process of improving the web site as we speak but for the time being, "Let The Game Begin ".

In Memory of "Leo" ~ Thank you

Great movie Tex! I really enjoy your sound mixing. The underwater shot of the torpedoes leaving the tubes and turning left was really excellent. Looking forward to more from you!

Great video Tex. You always do the game developers and modders justice with your videos. Looking forward to the next one.

Hey AVG, good to see you mate!

Thanks to everyone for your kind comments. Very glad you enjoyed it! :D

Video request for anyone who wants to take it up. I can't track down any good vids of Subs getting DCd for hours. Would be nice to feel the intense atmosphere like when we all run up against DDs and they catch us sleeping at the helm.

Sorry for posting this post twice, but i guess it may get more attention here than in the screenshot and videos thread:

Now finally I can present my second SH4 video.

I will upload it in a better qualitiy in a few days (its pretty damn large, 1.2 GB), so for now its only on Youtube and there for... well ... Youtube like I guess.

It's 2 parts so check them out both (but part 2 is currently uploading, so it may take one hour after I posted this.

Enjoy.

2nd BestKiller:

I enjoyed your movie...creative cinematography, great use of Das Boot sound track...

[Note that the singing group is "The Ink Spots", not "Ink Drops"]

Loking forward to downloading a high resolution avi or wmp version. Youtube is horrible.

2ndBestKiller 01-14-09 05:26 PM

yeah I noticed that mistake (and the one in the beginning, when it should be "simple"), but it takes hours to render the whole movie, so I didnt bother^^

Thing with the high res version is, my internet makes some serious trouble atm (disconnects all the time for no reason) and it takes a lot of time to upload the high res version (1.2 GB will take me ... maybe about 6-8 hours) so I can not upload it until my connection is a little more stable and I dont think people would download it on rapidshare, since it takes too long dowloading the packages with 50 kb/s.

thanks for your comment :D

longam 01-14-09 05:55 PM

Excellent Video Tex, its so good to see higher resolution. Golden Globe award on that one.
