I know it's silly, but out there by myself standing in the dark, I get tempted to try it, but I back out. Like I said, don't believe these old stories, but not gonna tempt fate, don't want him haunting my dreams and driving me nuts.....That stuff can start head games.

I've got the code from Mami, if you want me to give you all the steps, maybe you can try it and he'll come to your house and leave me alone....:yeah:

I don't believe in ghosts either....but I get to thinking sometimes that to an extent they may be somewhat.......real? Idk...it sounds silly...I like to have logical explanations. I want to think that this is just some drunk...like a theory from earlier...but there are so many questions.

Demons are real...but that's a religion thing....and the good Lord'll protect me from those if I don't go lookin'

Oh, about the cam. If you cross the bridge, a trail turns left. I put it in a bush facing down the trail. It slopes heavily down from the bridge, mild turn. Simply, it would catch someone coming up the trail slope to the bridge. To me it looks like something is coming towards the bridge, the 3rd shot passing the camera about 4-8 ft away going up the trail passing the camera.

It's not solid, but I swear I see some outline.......whatever it is....

The first shot sort of creeps me out. Remember the camera is fixed, so something is setting it off and the pictures seem to progress, at least they change and not the same.

Okay....in the third shot....I see this:

A hooded person is what I keep seeing out of this...

Are there any descriptions of Old Black John out there?

NSA? :O:

Your outline is exactly what I see, like what was in picture one has moved close and passed the camera.

I know this looks silly, but best I can do on small chrome book of the trail path.

Do you see this outline in pic 2? Like his body is sideways to his left of the camera.....

Anyway, I'll get the cam, maybe with running video and sound I can figure it out better.

I don't know, think I'm going to bed..

Sure people think I'm crazy, but I least tied several runs of thread at a mans chest level across the trail...

I catch it now...seems a bit faint...there's a bigger white outline just to the right that I saw.

Smart idea....Thread is better than fishing line... You might notice thread or just brush it off as a spider web....but if you run flat into strung up fishing line, you'll know. :arrgh!:

Armistead - what part of the NC/VA border are ya on? If its on the western side of the state, I am in the Asheville area (don't judge me for it! LOL) and could likely come out and take a look.

I wouldn't trust much these images in the dark.
The human brain is programmed to single out shapes that look like a person or animal. Could be a ghost, though, but most probably it's just a glitch in camera or shadow play.
And the orbs ?? Dust or water droplets.

Video cameras are better. If the blob is moving, then we have something to analyse.

The best thing will be to get a heat signature camera. Doesn't have a flash so no one will notice and steal it and ghost are supposed to leave a cold spot. Perfect for excluding live things that leave a warm spot.

Keep working on it, I love this thread :)

Central NC, about 3.5 hours from you

Yea, I know Asheville, use to live in WS and worked there a lot as a project manager on the Grove project... Good ghost in the Grove.

How the leaves up there, they looked terrible yesterday when we went to Floyd Va.?

I understand and agree. The mind can play tricks. I'm gonna let a ghost hunter set up, hopefully this weekend, he has great equipment. I mainly don't want humans wandering around there as I let the Tibetans run loose at night and they'll eat animals, ghost humans...anything.

Oh man - WS used to be my old stomping grounds. I grew up in Lexington (da world's best barbecue!) and the entire triad was my ole stomping ground.

Leaves are turning well - a lot of higher elevation stuff turned early, but I have some great bright reds and yellows in the yard - though I am south of Asheville a bit and not so high.

Good luck with the ghost hunt - let us all know how it goes!
