I am in Western NC, and I won't see any of it puff of a breeze here and there. With the storm weakening, its not so much a question of strength, as it is of duration. This is a SLOW moving storm right now, so what is getting pounded is taking the beating for an extended period.

For all in the path, you are in my prayers. Be safe.

Yes sir...lights on. A/C cranking....these storms are hot and humid. I'm monitoring my emails for FEMA tasks to cover. My coffee is hot. I playing WoT in the meantime. The clouds above my cave are on a distinct circular path spinning away. The wind has picked up quite a bit. The outer fringe has arrived....:o

(looks out window)

"oah, hello rain..."

Cause that's all there is, is rain, rain, wind, and tree branches.

AVGWarhawk 08-27-11 10:31 AM

And I hope that is all you get! Clean up sucks but it beats blowing away with your belongings. :har:

NC is getting battered but for the most part the structures are standing tough. A lot of siding and roofing material blowing off but structures are not being taken down.

Here's a McBee science experement for you. Get a plain round cup and a sponge bob cup. Go out side and hold both cups. Which cup will collect more rain? The one in your right hand or left hand?:D:haha:

It is going to be tough beating NOAA with their hurricane aircraft and stuff. They go an awesome box of tools to study hurricanes.

Well, write up a hypothesis (10 page minimum) and submit it to the subsim science dept. Make sure you include data on how it effects the price of ferret snacks in Finland.
