Plat, if you look closely at the bow photos, you'll see the two lower shutter doors between the boat and the dry dock wall. I'm guessing those will be reinstalled(?) I hope!
There were six tubes forward, four aft - the middle two tubes forward had the shutters plated over, as were the top two tubes aft (at both ends, corresponding - roughly - with the waterline as the boat sits in the harbor these days). The two lower shutter doors aft were removed in the 50's or early sixties, iirc. |
