Well, I'm totally against the DRM/OSP added to the game.
For this reason only I'm not gonna buy it until it is removed.

About the content:
I can only judge it after actually having played the game.
Movies and images, they all can be misleading.

I'm surprised that so many subsim visitors are having such strong opinion
about a game that hasn't been released yet. :hmmm:

DRM
 

DRM can't be too big of a problem unless you have a bad connection. My internet connection isn't great but I don't think it will be that big of a problem. Before you make an opinion, think about if it will really affect you.

The way I see the possible outcomes of the DRM crap is(in order from best to worst):
1.Ubisoft rushes to rid the game of DRM before March due to all the hatred on this forum.:D
2.They can't take out DRM in time but don't want to delay the release so they make a patch in the near future.:DL
3.Ubisoft can't take out DRM before the deadline so they delay the release.:)
4. They don't adress the problem at all.:nope:




Early screenshots don't tell much, they're meant to look cinematic not realistic.
Let the game come out and see it before you say:

There building off the previous games which is a good thing

Simplied interface, subs over rails and perhaps too fast .

nothing about TDC and aircraft attacks

in the first one(size was by accident reduced) there is,when i'm not mistaking,the answer to one question;you can see yourself o the deck with the external camera.

But still no demonstration of manual targeting/plotting.

OK, I just made that up. It would explain things, though.

I don't think they are going to show full realism for fear of scaring people off. Did they show full manual TDC for SH3 before release? I don't remember. I'm sure it's in there. Hopefully the real dials are in there as well. I think maybe I will see what this forum thinks of it for a couple of days first. I think it looks good and I don't see what the deal about the white cross is.

Anyways if this game has the RPG element in it, or it kind of sucks in any other way, im pretty sure this is a half-fabrika compared to the SH5 in the future when the modders have done something with it. Just like SH3 became 10 times more realistic and better after GWX came around. (Thanks GWX Crew!) :up:

But still, walking around the sub is pretty neat. :D
