When's the Big Annoucement ? :p2: :rotfl2:
|
SOON
|
Hate to dredge this back up but didn't want to start a new thread about it.
Perchance was the thrilling "Meet the (cheeseball) Crew" and the new website the Big Announcement that was heralded a month ago? :06: Kind of hoping there's something else to look forward to. |
must have been the website going officially open from its sleep state of just having the trailer video to having the other information available.
I honestly dont know. "You will start to see a lot of changes and openness as well as announcements beginning in the first week of February." pretty much all i was told more or less. perhaps ubi will begin to open up about the finer points of the game over the next several days :salute: |
The big announcement was that you were going to be DRMed and OSPed. Big Daddy is waiting for you to connect your computer to infect it with his stuff :D
|
Thanks, GR. I've been wondering about that soothsaying you did for a while now. :DL

Im hoping for a delay...so they can remove DRM. I wouldnt mind waiting for that :D |
The big announcement is that Ubisoft is scrapping the OSP style DRM, but that means they must have another way of making this work. So, instead of you having to connect to one of their servers, the cost of the game is going to be $11,278.00 (plus tax as applicable) because Ubi will come to your house with a dedicated box in which SH5 runs, you just connect it to you monitor or screen. Now this box comes with high explosives built in, so any attempt to open it to access the hardware or source code containd therein will result in your house being demolished. Still, Ubi comes around once a month to make sure everything is kosher.
This is all legal per the EULA of course. This approach solves all piracy as the pirates who attempt to steal SH5 are deaded and blasted into tiny bits. The End |
After reading that update on the 3rd fiscal quarter I expect a delay. And if things don't turn around for the company, possibly a cancellation. Although the latter seems unlikely since the game is so far along in development. But, meh, with UBI you never know.
My money is on delay. |
the big announcement coming up next week:yawn:
look at: http://twitter.com/ubileak I guess Ubisoft is entering the sports game market and is working on a FIFA Soccer Game, released just after the World Cup in autumn (of course, only playable online) |
