I don;t kno what his patches do...they aren't patches really....

OK there is a single mod install making it easy. I'm downloading it now.

I think for our online stuff this should be the standard, what do you think Hunter?

Kratos 09-07-08 09:19 AM

The single universal mod is an excellent mod, easy to install and you can switch between versions. Only gripe i got at the minute (and prolly my own doing) is in my marethline campaign, playing back the ntrk my custom skins are not showing :damn:

OK just flew the Arado-196 floatplane and it is very responsive and can be thrown around a bit. I think the real one was like that.

Best bit was I flew a C-47 and dropped paratroopers.....

Funniest was teh Blenheim...I could throw that round like a fighter. Didn't stall out, even got a tail slide going at low level and pulled out.....Definately need to think about the FMs do these guys. Now I can see why the AI can pull dumb maneauvers. If the AI could exploit the FM of the Blenheim they would kick our arses.

Anyone up for an online test?

Would be cool to have the flames show up during the flight too, not as big obviously but just small ones. Geoffrey Wellum told in his book that it was pretty big problem during night sorties as it pretty much blinded the pilot if they happened to look at the flames. IIRC, they later on built somekind of metal plates or something on the exhaust pipes so the pilot couldnt see the flames from the cockpit.

IL-2 ship list...what would you like?

OK I see the mods group for IL-2 are doing planes. Well I want to do ships as some significant ones are missing.

What ships would you like to see in IL-2.

Some of the carriers are missing of all nations.

Maybe I'll do the graf zepplin...

Oberon 09-10-08 11:24 AM

HMS Courageous would be cool if she's not there already

Raptor1 09-10-08 11:36 AM

Gneisenau!

HunterICX 09-10-08 12:04 PM

I moved the Shiplist thread here, lets keep the discussion about mods in 1 thread.

Thanks,

OK bomber FMs porked. I just took a Blenheim up against and average 109-e4 and managed to keep with it in a turn in fact I got close enough I could shoot it and my gunner was able to score good hit and we downed it.

Then I took up a D3B and thew it around the sky. I t handles well and is sluggish like a bomber should be but they can't be made to stall....I think if we play games with these we might need some rules such as no impossible moves that the plane in real life couldn't do.
