Is he using Armour-piercing AA Shells? Does such a thing exist? I thought it was just the Deck-Gun that fired that sort of thing:hmm:

The flying-dutchman-gato-class scares me and some screens are jagged to death but I like them:arrgh!: Please, keep them coming!

BOF what kind of sub is that? Almost looks like a tench :hmm:

WilhelmSchulz. 03-19-07 02:02 PM

its the Gato with a early/pre-war conning tower.

moosenoodles 03-19-07 02:05 PM

Looks like the Gar class to me..

Tigrone 03-19-07 02:10 PM

I think it's a Porpoise because of the antenna postion

The antenna behind the periscope housing looks like a Porpoise retro-fit. It's pre 1943 boat anyway.

irishred 03-19-07 02:17 PM

I think its a Tambor class.

Yes. Even aircraft carried a mix of HE and AP shells. Aircraft have armor. Also, 20mm on a US sub is more likely to be used against ship than an airplane.
