When hitting 'M' to go the messages/logbook the game freezes. I have to hit CTRL+ALT+DELETE and after a few seconds the game unfreezes.

I have the exact same thing. Really weird.

According with the picture found in this thread, it appears that they have corrected the Depth gauge meter which now correctly displays the depth to keel in feet instead of meters...thank god.

"Hey, I'm rich, this shouldn't be happening to me!?" :D

Haha, hey man, that was the result of about 6 months of pay at subway + 1 garage sale's worth of money.

It ain't easy having not graduated yet!

Sorry if it was listed before, but when I surface I get a message saying the boat is out of oxygen, we need to surface and it drops any time compression. Probably should be letting you know the O2 is back to 100% instead.

If you change it to feet in the depth gauge when setting the torpedo depth i'm sure it still is in meters???

Anyway my bugs are

1 In the torpedo school mission a japanese plane flies over your sub right at the start.
No sign of damage but it always crashes into the island behind you.

2 Can't use hydrophones at periscope depth

3 No way to freeze/stop the periscope going up/down using the command bar button. It's either all the way up or down.
Page Up and Page down are fine though and work correctly.

4 Not a bug but be nice if Anti Aliasing could be brought in for a future patch.

confirmed!

Issues after the patch, perhaps still not addressed by this patch:

targeting:

in comparison to SHIII, here are all vessels preselected in the ship identification book

It looks like they have changed behaviour of, what once was "indicator of selection and selection knob" is now just "selection knob", while current selection is indicated as text in TDC solution

Can some one else re-create this "Bug" I think is happening.....I just finished the Navigation test...I'm one of those who like eye candy so I have external camera on..When pressing the "Next Unit" key sometimes it puts my view way above the water with no target in sight.....If i then go to the next target I'm having a spinning effect on the camera.....Again no target in view. This only happens ever so often....

Radtgaeb 03-22-07 05:48 PM

Yeah, the chronometer still doesn't work....:damn:

Radtgaeb 03-22-07 05:51 PM

Anyone else miss having the ID manual right there in the periscope/UZO/TBD viewfinder?

I sure do.

The chronometer does work - let's not confuse anyone please.

What is not working is the ability to automatically determine speed using the chronometer function.

I see so... the reason why this device is on the sub is not fullfilled, it cannot do the job that it was designed to do, therefore is useless still in 1.1.

Umm no. The chronometer tells the time and allows you take timings with it - it's purpose is fulfilled. You can calculate the speed of targets (if that is what you wish of course) using the tools in the game.

The auto calculation of speed as it was implemented in SH3 and mis-implemented in SH4 is at best a feature to aid gameplay, and at worse an automatic function at the same level as the auto TDC. Not having it is no great loss assuming you use some historical techniques to get the speed data.

By the way, if you do not wish to determine the speed manually, then I see no reason why you'd wish to do the rest of the process manually since the rest of the process is relatively easy - the auto targetting works perfectly well so that can be used.

I have it to.

Also. I started a carreer where I had to get an agent somewhere. When in the mission I wanted to know what will happen when I dive the boat to the bottom. At 400+ the lights where flickering but no sound what so ever. At about 440 every equipment in my boat breaks in a fracture of a second and I sink to death.

So there I am, Death in the water and I get this screen.

I thought that I was dead:o But I'm escorted to my brig
