And now, for your viewing pleasure, I give you ... CAMOGAMI2, which can make it a bit difficult to find in the Recognition Manual with old eyes...
http://i1381.photobucket.com/albums/...pszjwdbvqp.jpg We need another Rockin Robbins "sales" video on YouTube... Lot's of explosions, up close details, like nose hairs on the crew... It gets kinda spooky the way their eyes follow you around the room, but they don't look directly at you, kind of a nose-down, roll-eyes-up-and-sideways kind of thang, like you're Captain Bligh and they're wishing they'd have brought their shiv to the chart table... "Aye, Sir!" |

That's the same screenie as the first Mogami class you posted, buddy. :D |
Progress on the whole patrol boundary thing
I have been putting it off for a while because I just could not remember how Ducimus had done it I thought he had done something fancy in the Mission Editor, so have been spending much time in that with no results Tonight I think I have cracked it :) Instead of looking at the patrol files in the ME, I opened them into a text editor Looks like the key is in in the patrol TSR File (I think this controls the patrol parameters) http://i.imgur.com/WjI3xCj.png Opening it up and comparing it to a stock mission, it seems to have an additional entry called [Map Location 1] http://i.imgur.com/on0aSqL.png Amongst other things it specifies a lat and long location, that happen to correspond to those in the Map Zone 1 Entry (ie your patrol area) It also references a dds texture file that is not found in stock 0_PatrolMarker.dds http://i.imgur.com/Jb4GA5o.png The only thing I am not sure of Map Zone 1 (your patrol area) specifies a radius (in this case 250 - I assume this is KM as the SH4 is based upon the SH3 engine, then again it could be 250nm) Map Location 1 (the circle on the nav map) does not seem to specify a radius I am wondering if it picks it up from the mission parameters already specified? Some experimentation may be needed But I am feeling super stoked that I managed to find this :up::up: |

PS
Just in case anyone in not quite sure what I am going for - consider the following (and before anyone pipes up - yes I know these are for different areas, but the same principal applies) This is a patrol order in FOTRS http://i.imgur.com/Wnukcov.jpg Right - so I have no idea how big the patrol area is, or how long I have to be there. This is a similar patrol order in TMO 2.5 http://i.imgur.com/RerU4fv.jpg Immediately I have more information I know that I need to remain in the designated area for five days. Personally I also think it is written in a more informative and immersive way - but hey - with the FOTRS crew English is not their first language - so I will happily let them off that one :) However - when you add the following it becomes very interesting In TMO 2.5, once given an order to patrol a given area you are gifted the following http://i.imgur.com/XvH4qaO.jpg That's right - a non deletable circle on the nav map that delineates your patrol zone Combine this with the fact that your mission order message has already told you that you have to be on station for a minimum of five days and you now have the following Patrol within this marked zone for a minimum of five days As opposed to - Patrol close to the Strait of Makassar, who knows how long, who knows how far??? Just my 2 cents Anyway - this is what I am now putting my effort into I will happily have it as either a part of the core, or as an additional extra But I am doing it for my own install and am happy to share :up::up: |

Load it up to the Some Assembly Required directory please! I know it's a lot of work to get it done but completing missions is a big part of not getting frustrated with SH4. |

http://i1381.photobucket.com/albums/...psfgsans8x.jpg Click on the picture, and you'll go to the Photobucket copy of the Museum image... watch out for their pop-ups. Right-click on the image and "Save As..." to get it on your computer. Do not click on any of their ad garbage. Let me ask you this cdrsubron7: Do you want the whole shmear of the Japanese IJN in a file in the area 51 folder? Merchants? Others? |

the oar locks had broken, so ingenuity took hold, and problem solved... well, except for those little holes in the side of the boat, but we'll worry 'bout that later... The one that's worrisome is the rudder pivot... |

If you need help with it max-peck, let me know... I'll re-download TMO for experimentation, if you want me to. I'm not doing much a-nothin', cept gettin' chased, and all-too-often getting sunk, by DDs... I've decided that #5 ain't fun at all, cdrsubron7. #4, maybe, but the ~airplanes~ and ~DDs~ are crazy ~good~... (that's whining, btw)... tic |

Since you already know about my infirmities, I don't have to elaborate. :O: :rotfl2: |

Question on Conning Tower Position
Hi, guys. Just a small question:
The OTC mod change all the positions of conning towers of US sub more backward to match the "center", but that just some kind of unrealistic. Is there any sulotion in FOTRSU mod that can fix the positions and at the same time, keep the optical world right? --------- Thanks a lot for what you are doing to make this exciting mod. I would like to make a "hull number sub mod" for it when the FOTRSU is finished. I hope that will do some help. see detail here http://i862.photobucket.com/albums/a...psxquslqs9.png |
