Then there's Bill Wyman, who was so stone faced and immobile on stage that, shortly before he retired from the Stones, during a live show, when he walked across the stage while playing, he absolutely shocked the rest of the band. Wyman was so stoic, he made Mount Rushmore look animated...

Jimi Hendrix played the Fillmore East with his Band Of Gypsies in 1970 and Bill Graham was the promoter for the show; also, the Fillmore East was Graham's own venue. There was a bit of a disagreement between Hendrix and Graham when Bill said Jimi he was such a great artist he shouldn't fall back on theatrics and stage tricks to enhance his music. Hendrix took some offense at the remarks and went out and performed his set by literally just standing in one spot and playing, no frills or gimmicks. The story of the show, and what Jimi said to Graham is here:

Here is arguably the best song of that performance:

After all that heaviness, here's a little harmonious relief:

Edit.
I'm getting a black screen where the videos should be when I'm using IE11, it doesn't happen anywhere else and it didn't use to happen here either, I've checked the videos out using Opera and Google and they're displaying correctly so what if anything has been changed.
If anyone else is using IE11 and they're having no problems I'd like to know before I go re-installing this browser?.

A couple of Johnny Cash classics:

The previous clip for Tennessee Flat Top Box is because I heard it in the background of some TV show I was watching a bit ago. It is a song I have always liked from the first time I heard it over 50 years ago...

Johnny's daughter, Roseanne Cash, had a rather strained relationship with her father, marked by lack of communication. In the late 80s, Roseanne recorded an album of classic country songs she had heard and liked and Tennessee Flat Top Box was one of the songs on the album; it was only after she recorded the song she found out the song was not an old standard, in public domain song, but had actually been written by her father, Johnny Cash. Her recording of the song caused her to take a greater interest in her father's works and the both of them came to reconcile because of it. When Johnny passed away to rejoin his beloved June Carter Cash, Roseanne sang the song at a memorial concert...

Sadly a music legend has passed age 52: Chris Cornell's work on Soundgarden, Temple of the Dog, (Pearl Jam) Rage Against the Machine, Alice in Chains will not be forgotten. He helped put Seattle on the the rock music map. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zv_T8zzH19s

Such a great, unique talent. A very recognizable voice, even if you'd never heard that song before... such a shame.

That's a 'Rediffusion' set you've got isn't it? Maybe one of the valves has gone

I'm also getting the same result: also using IEII as of a few days ago; when Jimbuna said all was well at his end; and no one else had reported the same problem!! I PM'd Rotten Rokkin Robbins and he recommends a second Firefox browser. Some HP updates may have precipitated the difficulty. I'm using WIN 7. I had posted this on 5/3/17 with no problems but by 5/5/17 no video...http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/show...postcount=1880

Win7 32 & 64 bit on two machines, and IE 11 has same issue on both. FireFox does not... A new IE DRM "scheme" with their latest "patch"?... I haven't regularly used IE since version 6... I've been regular usually, just not with IE... ahem.

I'll kick you in the bloody valves if you don't stop being so bloody impertinent Mr Squirrel, yes me matey, the "rabid chief executive of the great unwashed" has spoken, that's my new title Mr Squirrel after I was recently diagnosed with rabies. :D
I'm rambling on again, I hereby solemnly declare "well I'd be quite happy about doing this next part" that one day my boots and your nuts will have a momentous coming together that will be remembered by you and yours forever as "The Day the Earth Stood Still". :O:

Well this IE11 black screen business has not been rectified as yet, there are no problems with videos on any other sites not even on Youtube, I would have expected that site to be the most problematic but that's not the case.

Skinny legs time.
