I'm all for a bloodless revolution jim, but I fear we may face the riots of what we had a few years ago on a larger scale.

And hopefully the thugs and lowlifes who think its right to smash, pillage and destroy other peoples property will be dealt with by the harshest sentences available to the courts.

Quite possibly.

A well behaved protest on massive scale would be well in order and if it gets out of hand then those who caused trouble should be dealt with as the court sees fit.

So Iain Duncan Smith says he could easily live on benefits....

It's true....He'd get the highest rate for being such a bloody retard.

Spotted this interesting quote from... http://uk.news.yahoo.com/welfare-osb...1.html#2qXyl7p

Here is the quote..

Quote:

Thomas Ness

I run my own company and employ about 150 skilled and semi skilled people I took on a man that A.T.O.S said was fit for work so he did what he thought was right and applied for the vacancy, I had my doubts when I interviewed him but because the work was light I gave him the job.
On his first day all he had to do was pack bolts into a box he was doing fine for about an hour then his joints seized and we had to call an ambulance he was extremely embarrased and would not stop apologising I re-assured him and told him I would speak for him at a tribunal if he wished.
After he left in the ambulance I contacted the job centre and told them he was not fit for work after a load of speel they told me to contact A.T.O.S, which was a complete waste of time I would have had more sense from un-trained chimps.
The government have not thought this through properly, they have turned people against people who are genuine claimants and need the support of the benefit system, fortunately the man had his benefits returned to him.

And he said about £53 pounds a week...right then £53 it is for one year and all you will have in the bank £5000, just watch it vanish paying off bills, renewing stuff and repairs that are needed.

It would be funny to see.
Several of your politicians have tried it before to "prove" their point havn't they. All of them failed miserably.
Which raises the question. Given the proven track record of politicians failing to manage to survive for a week or even a day in "reasonable" poverty how stupid is IDS to be making such a dumb statement in public?

Looking forward to the local elections on the 2nd May, hopefully the nasty party will lose over a 1000 councillors and the same goes for their bottom wipers as well.
And then there is the South Shields by election hopefully the Tory scum will lose their deposit.

Iain Duncan Smith has described a petition calling on him to live on £53 a week as a 'complete stunt' and says he already knows what it is like to live on the breadline.

The Work and Pensions Secretary told the Wanstead & Woodford Guardian: "This is a complete stunt which distracts attention from the welfare reforms which are much more important and which I have been working hard to get done.

"I have been unemployed twice in my life so I have already done this (lived on the equivalent of £53 a week).

"I know what it is like to live on the breadline."

Wonder how many of the effitist, ellitest intellectual snobs on the Labour front bench can say the same

Jimbuna 04-02-13 04:56 PM

Many have tried and many have failed.

Wow you really swallowed that bull hook line and sinker didn't you.:yep:

Would you care to give it a very brief moments thought and see why he is obviously talking total bollocks?

Toff boy and his other toff mates is just taking advantage of a recession created by their party donors in the financial sector. They have wanted to get rid of the Welfare State and the NHS since the Labour government first introduced them after WW2. They hated them both, even voting against the creation of the NHS, but because the UK had a post WW2 consensus on these issues they were too scared to attack them, fearing the response of the UK`s electorate. Even Mrs Thatcher wouldn`t have dared do what this current government is trying to do. Now this government has dusted down the plans and are doing what the Conservative party have dreamed of doing for years. However, its taken Toff boy and Gideon, the two bullingdon club boys who smashed up restaurants and burned £50 notes in front of the homeless with the help of that nice Mr Clegg to finally achieve their dreams.

Been invited to a candidate selection meeting next Wednesday (10th) but will be at work unfortunately.

I would have liked to have seen the short list.

Jesus fin christ
listen to yourself

You simply can't accept that the Brown government massively expanding the welfare state in part in order to pull as many people as possible into the welfare net through tax credits, running a large structural deficit in the good years prior to 2007 has anything to do with the mess this country is in now

As Liam Byrne said on his last day in office, theirs no money left

God alone knows how f'd we'd be if Ed Balls ever gets into number 11

Not a real pointer to way people vote, traditionally local elections are used as a protest vote and come the general election they vote in a different way. Granted it will look bad on a local level for the Toffs if they take another hit.

But we have a problem the EU has more power than any UK government and the EU holds all the cards, its for the people of Europe to rid Europe of a greater monster known as the EU.
