I don't see what George Osborne posing with a red box full of underwear has got to do with his budget speech.

I found myself agreeing with Lord Heseltine earlier today, I think I might be coming down with something.
He mentioned about the need to transfer the industrial focus away from London and to the other major cities of the UK, the places that really drove the industrial revolution but are often overlooked.

No
The US issue was too many houses and too much cheep money being shoveled out to all and sundry

The UK at the moment has a housing shortage, but the property market is frozen as the banks require great credit ratings and a minimum 10% deposit, which is all but impossible for most first time buyers to raise,

So the UK has plenty of people who want to buy and who can afford the monthly payments and have spotless credit ratings, but are locked out of the market by the deposit they need to raise

There is nothing wrong with a 95% LTV mortgage, so long as the person doing the lending can afford the repayments

I wouldn't mind seeing savers interest rates going up...as if that is going to happen :nope:

Does this mean that Prince William will be signing on in the not too distant future?

Toff boy and his heartless posh mates would sell their Grannies.

Labour started this in 2006, I'm sure you'd have been happy if they'd seen it through.

Don't forget to take your credit card with you whenever you go swimming or rock climbing etc.

Bad news for Labour, reading the i newspaper in Smiths today the Tories are most trusted on the economy and that was labour voters saying that! Still 1 in 3 labour voters do not trust labour on the economy and will not vote labour, this is bad as this goverment is half way through its term in office. Ed has got to get shot of Balls and start a real plan of action on economy or we will be in for another five years of this crap.
