None, Because post #188 is a campaign fix for moving from one campaign to the next, nothing to do with mods.
As you are playing the stock game you will always run into some kind of difficulties because things happen that should not plus, the tonnage bar and campaign icons are broken as you have found out.
The game needs to be modded either by using sober's or the The Wolves Of Steel mega mods.
Both of these mega mods remove the tonnage bar and campaign icons from the game.
TWOS is the easiest mega mod to set up including a tutorial video.

Am I right in thinking that the background services fix will actually fix the tonnage issue? That's MaMa's second fix? Could it be I can reinstall SHV and actually play it?

by chance I stumbled here for some reason today & this appears to be pretty important. I have roughly 40k of the required 100, the tonnage bar does look a little skimpy.

now pertaining to the campaign fix by vdr'81 & co...

should it only be attempted after completing total Germany in its entirety; or each individual leg, also do you have to be physically in the bunker when you end the patrol.?

can it be done to a campaign in progress, are there any video tutorials that explain the fixing procedure itself in greater detail.?

playing vanilla sh5 gold steam version, & am ghastly afraid of messing something up. are any of the directories in the steam version different, anything different about steam sh5 at all?

The campaign fixes allow you move from the current one to the next.
Yours would be from Total Germany to Happy Times.
This should happen automatically but does not always do so because SH5 is broken.
vdr1981 and MaMa have produced different work around's so Campaign's can be advanced.
vdr's is the only one guaranteed to work every time and has easy to understand instructions that will answer your question.

I haven't been able to get Mama's fix working. I did all of the steps but the tonnage bar just isn't filling up... I don't have TDW's Generic File Patcher if that's important and I looked at Vecko's fix but it seems that you have to start on the third campaign and I don't want to miss the first two. Is there any way to play the 1st & 2nd campaign with Vecko's fix?
Also if it makes a difference I am using the Steam version. Does this bug still exist with the Standalone version?

This could be the fix I am after. I have tried WOS mod and whilst it is amazing, its just too realistic for me.

With this fix I can't see in the link anything to download, is this correct? Or do I simply follow the steps as started in picture 3?

ah ok. So I have just reinstalled SH5 and I am fairly happy it will allow me to complete 'British Coastal Waters' & 'South Western Approaches'. I alway sget stuck on 'Blockade of Germany'. At what point should I instigate this fix? Am I understanding the process correctly?

IIRC you need the OHII v2.5 campaign mod to use with this fix.
Just follow the instructions.

If the OSI.exe fix works for you, there are a few tools that can set the process priority automatically for you.

Here is a (somewhat old, but still relevant) list of tools that can do the job.

Personally, I use System Explorer. It works well, it's light weight and it's free. No ads or crapware, as far as I can see.

There is no complete fix for the stock game because of the UPlay Game Launcher is corrupting the game.
The important issue has always been how to complete the campaign transfer.

An equal and faster method is to download the mod called


OHII v2.5 - No Stupid Tonnage Bar_Free Style Campaign v0.1_NewUIs v7.5.0


...and use the appropriate "Campaign.cfg" files in it to replace in your exact savegame folder. Don't install the mod, just use these files to advance in the campaign. Works 100% in all situations with any modded 1.2 game version.

I want to thank aswell. You guys made a wonderfull job. I just managed to install the mod for SH5 and it blew me away. (I allready had a good impression from YT)
