Sorry, slightly off topic for a moment, but I've just got back from watching the film Senna - and it's a definate hit for any F1 fan, 100% real footage, no cgi, no models, no sh!t, just Senna an co doing what they did best.

Some extremely harrowing scenes of Roland Ratzenberger and Ayrton Senna but still fantastic.

The only showing at a cinema full of men where they all shed a tear, ever! :o

Seen it myself and everyone who is into F1 should definately watch it, now.
Why are you still here?
Sod off to watch Senna now!

TarJak 06-27-11 03:25 AM

The very boring F1 season starts again. Watch the bikes on the IOM as the great master of speed opens a door that most will never enter.

Have you actually watched any races this season?

Oberon 07-10-11 08:16 AM

Remember, when changing tyres, put all the wheel nuts back on!

TarJak 07-10-11 08:18 AM

Webber on pole. Hope he gets an second British GP under his belt.

Oberon 07-10-11 08:25 AM

Fuel helps too. As Hamilton is finding out. Some nice psychological warfare going on in the background though between the engineers.

Him and Vettel have been playing a good race. Webber was robbed though. "Marc maintain the gap" :timeout::nope:

HunterICX 07-10-11 08:47 AM

Well done Alonso:yeah:,
Srew RBR with that lousy Team order at the very end
:rock:Awesome defence from Hamilton in the last corner now that's how you race and defend your position.

great race overall, lots of stuff going on.

Good race but clearly not great.

andritsos 07-10-11 09:14 AM

when webber was told... ''keep the pace/distance''( or something similar as i was hearing greek commenting and was able to hear only someting like that), i can say that is one of the saddest moment i had experienced as for my point of view/opinion the words motorsport and grand prix lost their meaning . however i was able to see only last bit of race. teh button incident i think was a great facepalm ( i was amazed of his character for his response to the radio)

Jimbuna 07-10-11 10:19 AM

Not a bad race overall...well done Alonso.

Agreed.

At least someone other than Vettel won. Pity Mark couldn't get/wasn't allowed past him!:nope:

Not a good day for Button - three wheels on his wagon......:damn:

Mike.

Jimbuna 07-11-11 03:01 PM

Never a nice feeling losing one of yer nuts :o

Webber ignored the team orders but simply found no way past. At least he claims that.

Lord_magerius 07-11-11 05:14 PM

To be honest, If I were in the same position, I would have made the same call. Last lap, you've got two cars on the podium and one is looking to pass the other. With the way Webber was on Vettel's arse, all it would have taken is a simple lock going into a corner on those worn tires and then bang, goodbye, zilcho points. I don't think it was in favour of Vettel, I think they just wanted to bring both cars back in one piece and get the points. Still must have been bloody frustrating for Webber though.

Jimbuna 07-12-11 03:04 AM

It seems awful coincidental to me that whenever such orders are given they are invariably always in favour of whichever driver is topping the points table.

Flaxpants 07-13-11 02:10 AM

That radio message to Webber really hacked me off.....it's nothing new I know, but come on.....is this motor racing anymore?

I'm happy 'he' didn't win again, simply on account of livening this year up a bit....

Talking of motor racing- did anybody see the GP2 race afterwards? Now that was a race.
