I agree the Pen is mightier than the Sword.

But the Wallet is a better Weapon. :DL

Worried about losing all my progress if I lose connection to ubi server....
Imagine if its been 2 hrs or more since you last saved and then your conection dies.
Save more often you say.....:hmmm: Well what if the same bugs from SH3 is present in 5 (No underwater saves, cant save within 50km of a port (ships lose their waypoints and run ashore), etc.). I spent prob over 6hrs evading depth charges in shallow water in SH3. I would be seriously pi**ed if my connection died before i could save.:damn:
From what I can make from ubi's Q&A on OSP. the game will pause on disconnect and saves are only available while connected to server.
Game braker IMO.
SH5 was a buy on release for me.... until OSP was confirm... now I'm going to wait. Hopefully Neal is able to get a review version soon and can check if this is how OSP works. Until I know for sure that this is not the case then no SH5 for me.:wah:

I personally think that a one time activation is fine, and then confirming that activation in order to download patches or DLC later on.

I don't like the idea of DRM but I have a feeling that Ubisoft will create some sort of "patch" to get rid of it for people who already bought it.
Consider me signed.

I'm still buying the game

hello ubi suits, r u watching us sign the petition?

Webster 02-18-10 06:09 PM

even if every post is signing up (which it isnt) you still only have 150 out of the 2500 views here so its not like a force to be reconned with so i doubt UBI thinks much of the response to this petition

heres to hoping DRM dies a quick and painfull death http://www.myemoticons.com/images/em...mbs-down-1.gif

Well maybe they'll take it seriously if I sign this thing again, this time in my own blood! :o

As much as I've liked the series, yes, I've owned/bought them all, I will not buy this one as long as there is OSP. No way.

dbunger 02-18-10 06:25 PM

I'm all for that.
