First time I've read this thread..........
'KINELL' - thats new English for WOW!.
Can we genetically clone this guy and Iambecomelife to one!...........:yep:
Now there's an idea...... clone all the modders into one genetically engineered modding Jem Hadar, keep 'em on drugs modding 24/7/365 with us underlings trying to keep up................:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
Mod on my chinese friend.................

MoToM 01-21-09 10:29 AM

:rotfl: 'Kinell', love it, isn't modern english great.
As to the modders, they truely are a breed apart.
Tried a little 3D modelling myself and it just gave me a headache, I actually find text editing much easier.
What wories me most is that so many of them turn out to be only 13 or 14, less than half my age.
It makes one feel so old.

Fantastic work U-47, checking in everyday for the release, filling the time until then with Jutland, oh and a couple of exams.

Chinese U-47 01-22-09 02:53 AM

I begin to build new ships for my MOD v2.0 yesterday night.
TB-1924,which would be VIIB in my next version line1(next version of German Warship MOD will have 2 lines,14 warships,in line2 VIIB maybe Commerce Raider).

This TB has 3 127mmSingleT deck guns,and 1 37mmDouble flak gun,2 20mmDouble flak guns.Not too much weapons,but enough strong.

Chinese U-47 01-22-09 03:14 AM

Some one may don't like its 127mm gun,I know it's a little big,not like 127mmSingleGE it used in GWX.
Radar works.
Notice, radar in my warship mod has fixed to your ship yet(so what you use is FuMO 23 or anything like that, not small u-boat's radar),so you needn't and mustn't choose radar or any other u-boat's equipments in menu.

Nice job! Are there any plans to model different interiors? I can understand why you're using the submarine rooms for now, but hopefully new ones can be modeled. Maybe a radio room, wardroom, chart room, and captain's quarters.:D

Chinese U-47:
May I ask what 3-D graphics program you are using? GMAX?
Do you know of a 3-D graphics tutorial that would help beginners?
Your latest ship, TB-1924, is a little too 'smooth', not beat up, not realistically 'worn' for my taste. Nice vessel, but too 'pretty' to look real. The bigger ships look OK, but they are more complicated and will be seen from a greater distance so 'smoothness' is not apparent.

look into Misfit Model 3d. its beautyful!

That has to do with the skin, not so much the model.

I wonder, are there any skinning tutorials for SH3 laying about? I do paintschemes and such for Il-2 and several other games, and I'm always looking for something to do with Photoshop. :hmm:

Sorry to go off topic there, lovely ships U-47! ;)

iambecomelife 01-23-09 10:07 AM

Chinese U-47, you have a PM about the emblem that you asked for. :D

I have some requests too.

Thanks.

As the Lutzow is Geromes

Wonder if permission asked to use these units
:hmm:

Meh
Not my problem

Weiß Pinguin: Yes, the smoothness is a product of the skin. I've been asking in several quarters for direction to some graphics tutorials for doing some modifications but haven't gotten any real guidance...maybe just asking in the wrong places. I hate to really bother folks with requests but IMHO the more people working on mods the better.

I notice that IABL gives his example in Wings, maybe that's what Chinese U-47 is working in. Question is what are the 3-D interior files that one opens to to use with either Wings or GMAX? That is, beyond the files that one opens with S3D or DatTexExtract that seem to be flat files integrated into a 3 dimensional world only by reference.

What a great job you done!:D I'm very happy that you did this work so quickly:up: I tried your wings3d:doh: I suppose you have know what happened:huh:
I'm sorry I'm in my aunt's home for the Spring Festival, which is so important to Chinese as Christmas to the west.Though it maybe not so important to me,but I get no restaurant open on this time,so I have no choose but live in my aunt's home(you may know,I split up with my parents).
I hope you don't mind about my complaints.
I'll get back at about 3 or 4 days later.when I get back,I'll post things you need as soon as possible.
Merry Spring Festival to you.

I always think about to make a mod which like DC2,as in China,it seems most of players like type 34 DD better than battleships, that's why in my next plan there are more DD/TB but not cruiser or battleship.
Someone told me,they like DD because it's much nimble and danger than invincible battleship.
