Well it's about 512kbps. For today standard my 1.5Mbps(180+kB/s) connection is already under average globally speaking

Remind me to move to Denmark in about 20 years from now because I don't think hunger strike would work here. It's Ramadan the month of fasting everybody's hungry.

In that case we now know what Morts is doing for living

Meh there are many other more interesting thing to download than porn such as free porn :rotfl2:.

He probably can watch 92 pron videos simultaneously and at the same time uploading 76 of them. LOL

O.K. after switching to Windows 7 it now looks like that:
http://www.speedtest.net/result/936208377.png

Guess some wrong settings were holding it back on my old OS, though I haven't experienced any change in download speed or website access times since switching. :hmm2:

*edit*
I might have used an "internet speed optimization tool" a few years ago with my Win Xp. Since it was already a couple of years old it might have not been compatible with high speed DSL. But since that is more than three years ago I don't know for sure anymore.
I just wanted to say that I don't think it is a native Win XP problem.

malware could be the cause of that. Malware doesn't come with fresh install of OS.

If he was indeed getting poorer speed before switching to 7

Castout 09-01-10 08:20 PM

Posting my result once more
This is a US$30.00 subscription in a backwater cough cough I mean developing and deindustrializing country

http://www.speedtest.net/result/937124460.png

And this is Morts US$9.70 subscription I must assume US dollar but if it is Euros well it's still way cheaper.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...udus/Speed.png

This serves as proof that you may not be getting the worth of what you're paying for :hmmm:

One habit in my country is to privatize state corporations that are having difficulties to foreign parties. There's now even talks of privatizing the management of the airport to foreigners.

I'm beginning to have a deep deep understanding. What we actually need to privatize to foreign parties is the govt itself :damn:. LOL
Obama would be free after two terms right.
or that Jimmy Carter still looks healthy
or Mr Clinton himself
or maybe Thaksin?
Too bad they killed Benazir Bhutto . . .first incident should be a clear indication that Pakistan was under the grip of a dictator then.
I don't think Mr Bush would be well accepted here so he would be well suited to be the vice president.

Schroeder 09-02-10 04:52 AM

Er, your server is 7200 miles away in Paris?
I think there is something wrong.

Umm I just tested my speed with Paris based server, there's nothing wrong with that is there?

I think since it's called the internet and because I hardly open any local websites I see no point in testing with local or even domestic server.
