SPR is great.

But, Downfall is one of the best movies ever. Bruno Ganz is performing his role with so perfection that I'm almost scared when I watch it....

I voted other. Das Boot and SPR are great movies, tho I dont consider Das Boot really as a war movie. But these 2 are surpassed by Schindler's List and Die Brucke (the Bridge) But its all a close call, there are many good ww2 movies out there.

I can never answer these kind of polls, as I enjoy so many movies of the genre, I cannot pick just one as my absolute favorite. It's like being asked what's your favorite book - I mean geeze, I've read hundreds and hundreds of books in my life, and you expect me to have just one, single favorite?

So, for a "what the heck" vote, I'll nominate "Kelly's Heroes", just because it was such a quirky war movie (and I watched it last weekend - have the DVD).

Another one of my Favorite WW2 movies is "Twelve
O´Clock High" with Gregory Peck.

Both i have in my CD Collection among many others.
