Are you talking about Jim or the aeroplane?

TarJak 09-11-12 07:54 PM

I think he means both :D

Jimbuna 09-12-12 11:40 AM

Aye, the Valentine Infantry Tank....just about useless but made up about a quarter of our wartime tank production.

Jimbuna 09-12-12 02:02 PM

On our way home we called in at RAF Wittering to see the gate guardian, a Harrier GR.9 ZD469....this was a sad experience for me because she is the only aircraft at the base which only goes to highlight the sad demise of our armed forces in recent times.

That Spit is you Jim! You need to get yourself one!

Love the tank pictures. Great displays. The best part of many of your pictures is the planes and vehicles are all keep out of doors. Leaving them outside destroys the vehicles in short order. These will be preserved for a long time to come.

Ah, the MK.5 Spit. Aesthetically, I think the Spitfire was at it's most beautiful in the MK.5. Although, having said that, the MK IX isn't far off either.

To be sure...I honestly couldn't say which version was best because she was such a fantastic design :sunny:
