So now that conspiracy is sorted, back to the real issue which was hijacked by some thieving youngsters.

Proceedures..... given the seemingly conflicting accounts of events why was there such a big gap between the incident and meeting the family.
In such a situation where the police cannot answer the questions as the IPCC have been called in should they still make the press statements(which often turn out to be highly flawed) or should the IPCC get more directly involved a lot quicker

Quick Links tab, scowl down to user control panel click that then under Settings & Options click Edit Ignore List.

At least the BBC are actually reporting on it tonight, for once.

Well, here is how it is going to be. The gap between the rich and poor widens and this is what happens. It's not pretty, and it's got nothing to do with race, nothing at all. What it is to do with is the Haves and the Have nots, and the lack of regard for society, which in their eyes, has continually defecated on them.

So, Dave, here's your Big Society. Hope you like it.

Ah, sorry, forgot one step. You click on the user name and then on view public profile. There you'll find the user lists.

Latest police advice is for people to stay off the streets unless they have business to...so...basically...a self-imposed curfew.

So sharing small bits of your actual opinions is a good thing? I have no secrets, and will tell you any sordid thing you care to ask. If you're going to hint at how you really feel but don't want people to know, then you should expect them to guess wrongly. If you don't want people to know what you really think, why hint at it?

Now there's a shocker. Now if only the Tea Boy had some balls he could show some leadership whilst his master is away...but no... :damn: I should have voted for the Monster Raving Loony Party...

Fixed, thanks, but only so it would make sense. Please don't change yours - I'm comfortable with my mistakes.

This is starting to develop into another 'interesting' evening.

That's just your inner cop talking. :O:

Oberon 08-08-11 02:43 PM

Actually, it was Steeds mistake to begin with, which is nowhere near as much fun...although yours is now scoll, but it's closer than before so I'll let it pass. :haha:

Getting back to the topic at hand. I must admit I've not seen riots and looting like this in the UK for some time, and the fact that it's going on for longer than a day or two...and now has apparently spread to Birmingham as well.

There's going to need to be a lot of questions asked when the dust from this settles, and it shouldn't be a case of "How do we stamp down on this?" or we'll drift along into a Gestapo state before we know it...it should be a question of "Why? Why is this happening after some twenty years of relative quiet?" The answers, providing they come from the people in the city and not from Middle Class folk in Buckinghamshire, should set some light on the gulf between classes in the cities.
