By the mid 20th century Britain will just be rails and traffic jam.

Oberon 11-17-11 06:43 PM

That's pretty historically accurate... :yep::har:

Meanwhile in 1810...

March, my asthmatic donkeys! March to (slow) victory!!

Oberon 11-17-11 07:32 PM

Huzzah! A new rail vehicle has been invented! My asthmatic donkeys can be upgraded to Three-legged Ponies!

But before the Three-Legged Pony could make its proper debute, two Asthmatic donkeys tried to occupy the same stretch of track...it didn't go well...

The worlds slowest crash? Probably, yes... :yep:

The company is now worth over 2 million pounds and adding on numerous different lines from its center in London.

London has pretty much devoured all the little city's around it, you cannot tell where it starts and they end.

Slow transport's expansion by 1900.

These trains are VERY expensive though, as are horses.

DeMeza 11-20-11 03:01 PM

I could really use some guiddance when it comes to placing signals (and the correct ones) when I have multiple tracks going to a single tracked station. Also when I have a single tracked station, with trains arriving from both ends..

Parked trains at red signals aren't really making any money.. :nope:

Falkirion 11-20-11 06:38 PM

Always try and run dual tracks? Other than that, I figure a passing loop every couple of kms should at least keep your trains running. Who've thought my RL job would come in handy for a game? (I work in railway industry)

Have a look at the OTTD wiki too. Pair of good railway constructions articles when it comes to stations and signalling.

My advice, if you have the money do a 4 rail system 2 going one way, 2 going anouther, and put signals telling the trains what way to go every 8 to 12 grids.

You know when you have a coal subsidence in OTTD when you have disasters on? And if it hits your track it removes it?

This is what happens in real life:
