I think what AVG means is that since there are only two entries so far, a couple more couldnt hurt.

I would love to see more entries, I was just thinking 2 entries from one person didn't seem right. :)

Correct! If you two want to add more, be my guest! Do not post them wait until the of the month. Some secrets are best left as secrets until the time to reveal is upon us:up: In fact, pick a number of entries you both want to submit. I will poll it with all and then we widdle them down to two final videos that go head to head. That is if you two have the time to do so. Life sometimes gets in the way of our good times:down:

Tex 01-10-08 08:26 PM

I'd rather stick to 1 entry and not change the rules during the contest. Besides, I'm leaving on business next week and will have no time to make another.

stabiz 01-10-08 09:02 PM

There were rules?:)

But seriously, having more than one video from one person does not have to be an advantage for that person. It just spreads the voting. (With that said, i have no intention of adding another at this time, and time is running out)

Ducimus 01-10-08 09:13 PM

If i had a clue, and a shred of talent i would try to make video's. Since i have neither, i just watch instead.

AVGWarhawk 01-10-08 09:18 PM

No problem. One entry is fine.

Tex 01-10-08 09:38 PM

Sorry, I didn't mean to sound picky about it, but it just didn't seem right to allow more than 1 entry per person.

Well, there is no rule that says specifically you can or can't enter more than one video, but saying that you can after the contest has begun and especially after videos have been submitted didn't seem right. Plus, if someone did have 2 videos in the contest it could actually be worse for them as they could loose valuable votes with people voting for both of their videos instead of just one. In my opinion, the contest ends at the end of the month, so instead of entering 2 videos if someone wanted to, why not just focus all efforts on the one video, even if you already released it, it's not due yet, so I see no reason why you couldn't continue to work on your current video. Sorry for any confusion.

:rotfl:Actually, its like vaccuuming. Once you know what the buttons do its kinda tedious, but if the result is good you feel all fussy inside.

I posted my first (previously unreleased:lol:) SH3-video a while ago, just to show how badly it can be done.

But what Tex is doing is a bit more advanced. I am looking into more high tech editors at the moment, but I feel like a monkey trying to program a vcr while drunk. But one day ...

Wish I had the time to enter this, Just got Vegas Pro 8 a couple weeks ago off ebay for an unbelievable price and haven't had time to use it yet.

AVGWarhawk 01-14-08 03:49 PM

The contest is over at the end of the month! Still time!!!

Not bad, though Lotus makes some of the best videos imho, granted they're made with FSX, the overall filming and editing is the best I've ever seen. I've drawn alot of inspiration from his films. Here's one example...

"MysticPuma" made that movie...primarily to show the possibilities of using "Battle of Britain II:Wings of Victory", an older FlightSim from 2001 revitalized and released in fall 2005...subsequently greatly improved with some decent patches in 2007...

"MysticPuma" is one of the top 2 or 3 FlightSim movie-makers of all time (2002 thru present, that is). See his "Not My Time to Die", for example.

"MontyDan" is another top-notch FlightSim Movie-maker, among his Best being "Pictures of War" and "Pictures of War2"

These movies, plus 60+ other 'Best of the best', are available (linked) at the FlightSimMachinima website (See my Sigblock) below.
