I'm no longer with Virgin, which makes a massive difference because they were rubbish.

Just got the speedtest application from Android Market, getting 1796kbps down and 1293kbps up on Vodafone NL 3G.

Must beg to differ....with Virgin you have the option to go to 50MB (which I was formerly on), cheaper phone calls and over 250+ tv channels.

I challenged BT 3 months back to at least equal the offer and they were honest enough to say they couldn't.

Never ever test with domestic server it's the internet,

So here it is my third world (3W) internet

That's worth 30 bucks here(US$30.00) and when the average office employee gets paid 300-500 bucks a month that's a lot :damn:

Curiously the performance degrades significantly past afternoon to early morning. But I've realized that my COMODO firewall contributes to that to some effect because while I was using another firewall I had quite a bit better performance all throughout the day.

pipex have gone seriously downhill in the last 18 months.
when I have the time I'm going to change to someone better, as my current service with an older pipex package is £23.99 a month for what's listed above.

:D That's so bad considering the distance. Change the ISP quickly. :DL

I'm currently on a wireless network provided by the place I'm living.

How much do you pay for that?! Just wondering because pretty much that's my current subscription too.

lol I did quite some time back.
Then because of issues over telephone account+ex had to get new internet again. With the same company as before, but on a different package from ADSL24/murphx solutions, C&W LLU adsl2+ doodad.

I've had better out of them, but I'd say this is about average, with the weak link being the wire from the house to the BT telephone exchange (afer which it's c&w network, as I understand it).
£19.49 a month for uncapped service with a 30 day rolling contract, so I can quit any time I want. There are cheaper, but I don't like 12-18 month contracts from isp's.
