I just want to change my shipping to standard instead of overnight since it doesn't matter how much you paid, you still get it on the 20th. Friggin BS. THAT'S what I'm pissed about.

I'm not sure if that would be entirely accurate, at least in my experience. So far, all of the times (except for one time) I have pre-ordered in the past with Overnight shipping (from various game companies), I have received the product before those utilizing other shipping methods.

rocco 03-09-07 09:12 PM

Thanks for the info Ark. It will be interesting to see. I don't necessarily want the game first or anything like that, I just wanted it as soon as possible. I can't see paying extra just to pay extra though (I think you understand what I'm trying to say here).

It just seems awfully odd that they have the game, but simply choose not to ship it.

As for the subsim preorder, I actually preordered before I started coming by here regularly, but Amazon has always messed up my orders anyway.

The shipping of this game seems to be as chaotic as the different versions created. The only sensible thing to do is just wait for it to arrive and hope it's the correct version.

I've been waiting for this sence we first found out that there was going to be a SH4, One more week won't kill me. :sunny:

cdrsubron7 03-09-07 11:18 PM

I concur, I can wait another week, all I'm looking for is the game, that's where my real interest lies. Anything else that comes with the game unless it has to installing or playing, I'm not going to be paying much attention to for awhile. :yep:

Rocco

I didn't interpret it the same.

From what I understand, you'll still get it before those of us who ordered regular 3-5 day shipping. Even further, it would seem you'll get it well before the retail store release date.

This sh*t is like Crack isn't it? I needs now!!!

Have you missed out on all of the other posts? lol

Here is what is causing the raukus among us (haha, a rhyme):

1. Multiple sites list different dates.
2. Ubisoft's site lists/listed a different date than their own Official Forum.
3. Some of us have actually called and spoken to an Ubi Representative (I called this morning), and been told our orders would ship Friday or Monday (especially if Overnight shipping was the shipping method chosen).
4. Others have called Ubi and spoken to them as well, and heard something different than what I heard when I called.
5. Some of us have "Quantity Shipped: 1" listed on the "My Orders" page, along with a date. Noticed the tense of the word "Shipped"?
6. The post by Audibleknight talks about an error in the emails we recieved. Well, as far as I know.....none of us received any "shipping" emails, hence my post about anybody actually recieving a shipping confirmation via email.

That is what is causing confusion. ;)

I'm beginning to think that Monty Pythons works for Ubisoft.:rotfl:

I pre-ordered on 2-7-07 from UBI. It was charged to my credit card on 3-8-07.They have to ship it within the next few days. My account page at UBI shows SH IV shipped on 3-8-07. My guess is it will arrive next week sometime.:D

Or maybe Bernard?

Their reason for wanting to "be fair" is all fine and well, but they should have started implementing their fair shipping policy the next time around instead of making a promise and then breaking it. I understand about things happening, but this time things didn't happen . . . they changed their mind without regard to the promise they made. That is inexcusable because it's not an unforseen circumstance.

mookiemookie 03-10-07 10:46 AM

I don't see what all the pissing and moaning is about. The game is stated to ship on the 20th, and that's it. I can see why you'd get your hopes up if you got an email confirmation saying it was shipping earlier, but hey, mistakes happen. You're still getting it on the original date promised.

geetrue 03-10-07 11:11 AM

The words release and shipping are two different words ... I know that to get 100,000 boxes of DVD's in the system is going to take more than a few days.

They have met that problem by shipping early, perhaps they will release the game on March 20th, but you don't get a notice that it has shipped on March 8th and then put it off till the actual release date of March 20th.

Shipped means shipped, but the weekend got in the way and as soon as Fed Ex can scan that label Ubi can get paid ... Money makes the wheels go round. :know:

Tuesday will be a day of rejoicing around here ... for the overnighters that is. :yep:
