Today I begin the last of home demolition. Going to tear down a lath and plaster ceiling from 1895 filled with blown in insulation from the 1950's. Then I'll replace it with new an improved insulation and gypsum board.

Look into whether Gypsum board is still using asbestos fibers which have been linked to mesothelioma cancers.

There's been a bit of a catastrophe in the clubhouse, the upshot of which is that I've deleted my entire store of nuts and Subsim PM's, both in and out. Please be of an understanding nature, therefore, if you PM me in the near future but I don't know what the hell you're talking about :yeah:

I do take certain precautions especially since this an older house, I also have to contend with rat droppings, black mold, clouds of loose insulation and asbestos.

Anyway, I did finish dropping the ceiling next step clean-ups.

Been a long day for me. Working for a STEM degree is exhausting.

A well deserved relaxing evening is ahead. :Kaleun_Salute:

Sounds good. Bob Villa and the folks from " This Old House " like Tom Silva would be proud. :Kaleun_Thumbs_Up:

What specialty are you studying?

Eichhörnchen 10-15-16 02:19 PM

Is a STEM degree something to do with gardening?
